I'm planning on making a tribal styled necklace,maybe put it in a silver or gold tiger mouth,I wire wrapped it for the moment,something to go with my animal print style that I've been into lately

ive got a jewlery box overflowing with over priced mall purchases of rather dubiouse quality that are worth squatt compaired to a lot of the lovelly pieces i see here on PS
dreams however are free
i only hope the OP hasn't over paid and if they are man made/ lab grown stones that they were priced accordingly

It took a minute to finish the wrap but it's much more durable now

Grey spinels are very trendy these days. I can see the bottom stone in a piece of jewelry. The top stone is a bit too windowed. I hope you didn’t pay much for them.

Hi all, thanks for your kind words. The second one I paid about 60usd for such a small stone!! 5mm? 1.3 carats

And this color only shows when I go under natural lighting. Is it normal?

I think you paid a fair price. Spinels can be overly dark and/or grey, so that’s something to be aware of if that’s not what appeals to you.

Just got this spinel,it was the only real spinel I got out of the lot,the shop was reputable
But it has a golden impurity that gives it a luster
It has no windows,and appears lighter than the pic provided by the vendor.

In second look,the window is small and at an angle,its visible if your looking for it tho,I'm glad they highlighted it in the vendor photos.
