dani- i think we must have looked at the same sites! i have the same pics saved in my wedding inspiration folders.

If its any help, our invites were a dark fuschia (almost cranberry but a little brighter, like the color of a cosmopolitan martini) but DH''s tie, our reception, and our TY cards were royal purple. (Wedding was May 22nd, reception June 4th.) They weren''t traditional springy pastels but rather bright jewel tones, and I think they turned out looking very nice.

I think you should go with whatever you desire, regardless of the season.

I was married in March 17 (St. Patricks Day), and no, the bridesmaids did not wear green.

The bridesmaids wore black and carried black magic (deep red) roses. My FMIL kept making funeral references

during the whole time I was planning the wedding and more than one person thought I was making a major wedding faux pas.

Needless to say it was lovely and my FMIL apologized for her ignorance and lack of vision.

LOL- JCrow- you know I got them from the knot....the only potential prob with this color scheme is do you think that the bm''s will look too washed out in this color? We are seriously thinking of spring next yr for our wedding, and I LOVE these colors, yet I am afraid of that...

Dani - I really wanted peonies for my spring wedding but they just aren''t in season in California at that time. Check w/your florist before you get too set on it... I was so disappointed when I found out they would be difficult to get. Peonies are usually a very ''summer'' flower... and are quite seasonal (ie, hard to get off season)

i love those colors together. i think with a nice tan it would be perfect!
i wanted a champagne too, but since our wedding is in nov. i opted for fall shade of champagne.

Flopkins- I have heard that about peonies...I hope they are available when we get married...

JCrow- I love that color scheme too- but I havent seen that many champagne-ish color dresses that I like...you know the colors vary from line to line...I do really like the color of the dress I posted though, but I dont think that dress style/fabric would flatter most body types....do you have any other suggestions for other dresses/lines in that color? Look at me I havent even picked a place or a date, but I have so many ideas of what I want...hopefully we will decide soon re: where and when it will be so I can start really planning...!! I LOVE all of the ideas for your wedding- it is going to be so gorgeous! Is the color that your girls are wearing a more brownish-champagne? I have to check your idea thread....

My wedding colors were spring/celadon green with fushia accents (because it was my DHs wedding too, so I didn''t want too much pink). I had the BMs wear black cocktail dresses. My bouquet was fushia roses, but various colors. See picture.

My soon to be finance is in Iraq right now but we will be getting engaged when he comes home in Nov/Dec. and Then we will be getting married on April 22nd, 2007.... I have been trying to think of what i want my color scheme. i am not very into many colors of pink.. esp. not pale pink. i was thinking a beachy blue/ and green color or a green and a bright pink.... ideas.... help me..

Well, I got married to my ex in the spring of 1996-- It was an outdoor wedding at the Old Mill (the one from the opening credits of Gone With the Wind, if anyone cares) and all sorts of beautiful flowers were in bloom at that time, so instead of picking one or two colors, we had 4! I had 4 bridesmaids and they each wore a different color (gold, purple, turquoise and a bright pink). It was bold, but people I know still bring it up as the prettiest wedding they''ve been to. (The water reflected all of the colors, too) Also, I had a multi-colored bouquet. It was very festive and a bit different. Good luck!

I''m also having problems decided on colors. My main colors will be Bubble Gum Pink and Ivory, but I don''t know what other color to accent them with. My wedding will be in fall (8-18-07) and I am having sping colors. I love spring colors in a wedding. Pinks, blues, yellows, grenns, oranges, etc. I think which ever color you decide on, it will be beautiful.

Tulips with green accents? Lovely!

awe, thanks! you can check me out at the knot- my screen is daisy028 - for more info of my scheme and such.
our BM dresses are from the jim helm line too. we asked them to do a fabric change to the irish creme (i think) satin faced taffeta. so, before the dresses were taffeta, now they are satin cause that''s the color side i liked. i would say it''s a fallish champagne.

peonies- they aren''t available in november where i am either, but they can be flown in, i think from new zealand. don''t rule them out until you look into the options.

Well, since I wrote this, we did pick a date and place...we are getting married Sept 28th next year- so I dont think I will be going with the light champagne color for my bm's...and when it comes to peonies, I know they will be very difficult to get around that time of year. So most likely, I will try to pick flowers that are more in season.

Since we are having a fall wedding now, I am thinking about possibly choosing chocolate bm dresses, with cream and light pink accents/flowers... I love the choc brown and pink combo, so its always a possibility...

ah, yes i remember now. sorry i was so late replying...
