Gorgeous ring. I love the color and cut of the center stone. Big, beautiful and blingy.

I see the different color with the side stones. I love contrasts, but I have to say that my first thought was that those sides would be a great home for my still homeless pair of Richard Homer rubies. :))

Thank you for sharing your wonderful projects with us.

YOU HAVE RICHARD HOMER RUBIES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! SERIOUSLY DID I MISS THAT THREAD! :cheeky: :cheeky: :cheeky: OH earrings.....

Fly girl- I would contact Adam at OWD. He sourced me the sides for only a few hundred bucks. Way cheaper then any other place. If you need a matched pair he will definitely hunt them down for you.
The Richard Homer ruby pair is only about 4-5 mm, so they definitely will be sidestones. I was having a ring designed with a 0.70ct diamond center stone when the Great Recession hit in October 2008, and I scrapped the project. Obviously, I need a larger center diamond to make a ring work. :naughty: We'll see. This project will eventually make it to the top of my list, but not just now.

Thank you for showing us your ring(s). Gorgeous inspirations. :appl:

Oh I love it!!! I am so impressed with the craftsmanship. For some reason I have never really considered SK as one of my favorite designers (even though he's made some gorgeous rings obviously!) but this one puts him on my very short list. I really love it.

Thanks RB. I think a lot of people don't think of Steven because of Frankie's post. While he is a master at Pave work in that post he just does't come off very well. In my opinion the majority of Psers who have rings by VC are all a version of the emilya for the most part (myself included) so I think Steven just gets looked over. I really like to try new vendors and being that I'm on the east coast Steven was who I went with for this project and I'm thrilled that I did. I'm pretty sure he will be my go-to bench person now for custom work.

Honestly, I don't get why people wouldn't think of Steven. If they evaluate his work closely, Steven does simply fantastic metal work in addition to his pave. I actually believe that his metal work is even better than his pave. He has a way to make fluid and clean lines. The metal is also well polish and the rings look strong. I have seen him do amazing things in the smallest places and actually seen him innovate on designs. On top of all that, he is super nice and easy to work with ... and we never fully fall off our chairs when we get his quotes.

Anyways, I think this ring is a testimony of what he can do and also dispell that this design cannot be done hand made. He is also now able to make the tapered french cut rings that were so popular. I saw one a few weeks ago and it was fantastic.

I agree Charmy! And thank you for recommending Steven. :appl: It was from one of your post comments that I decided to contact him. When funds are back in place I will also have Steven reset Venice.

Sarah, you have provided the perfect home for this lovely stone!! I adore it, and this is a testament to SK's excellent work - those prongs, yum! I had been admiring this diamond, and when it sold I was so curious as to who bought it and how it would be set - and now I know! :appl: I love the choice you made, the ring is so gorgeous, I really love it! I hope Erica and Grace see this!

This turned out so nice. The setting just makes the stones pop. The unplated white gold looks amazing with the stones. :naughty:

I know Erica saw the post and I sent photos to Grace. Honestly it is one of the reasons why I love working with them so much. They have such a passion for their diamonds and they love to see finished projects.

It turned out so beautiful! Yay! I'm so glad you gave this diamond a wonderful home - I've always had a soft spot for this stone. It looks great! Enjoy it always!

SB621,
So stunning!

I have viewed your ring several times (also Yessies) and find the settings to be breathtaking! I am in the process of having an 8 prong setting made. I am considering having the prongs on the north & south sides spaced slightly farther appart. In turn, leaving a tad more girdle exposure N/S to break up the even spacing of the prongs a little bit. I have not seen this done. Not sure if it can be done.

In a few of your photographs it appears that your ring has a slight bit more space between the North/ South prongs. I can't tell if it's an optical illusion or not. If you dont mind (and if u receive this) are the 8 prongs evenly spaced in your ring? Or slightly more space between the N/S prongs?

Attached is an example is a super crude photo below if my inquiry is unclear. The NS prongs could be slightly closer together than shown in the photo, but it's a good enough for an example to explain. Thank you for any information if you receive this post on such an old thread.
