My favourite of the three on you was #1 and I''m sooooooooooo glad that''s the one you chose! It looks beautiful on you! I like #3 as well (mostly the colour), but it didn''t have that all-around effect like #1 did. And what a great cause, for such a good price! Fantabulous!

I''m so glad you picked #1....I was going to post and tell you 1 was my favorite but then I saw that 1 was the dress you chose...Its beautiful.

and Yes a sweetheart neckline would be perfect!

I love you choice!! It''s beautiful

I had a feeling that was it! Is your seamstress confident she can modify the neckline on that gown for you? Great choice!

this is a beautiful dress on you - i love it! congrats on finding a great dress!

sba771 - Thanks! Haha, yes - I''ll have to search (with a thread on PS, of course!

) for the perfect necklace! My mom would like me to wear my pearls my dad gave me, but I don''t know if they''d look good with this bodice.

tlh - Thanks!

kama_s - Thank you! I''m glad too! I also liked #3''s color a lot, but that just didn''t compete with the one I got in the end. It was such a hard thing to do to let those other 2 dresses go! Haha, I wish there were 3 different reasons to wear a dress for on your wedding day!!

Sadly, none of those were "reception" type dresses.

And yes, it was a great dress, for a great cause, for a great price! I forgot to share the price - $500!! It didn''t show the original price like some other dresses did - but most in the $450-500 range were about $1000 originally.

ams0124 - Another vote for #1 with sweetheart, hehe! Thanks!

Clairitek - Good gut feeling! I actually don''t have a seamstress yet. The women that worked for the tour with the dresses said it would be easy to do. One even said a brooch would look pretty there with the sweetheart, but I think it might compete more than compliment. Any recommendations or things I should look for in a seamstress? Should I look for one at an actual bridal salon since they have experience with bridal gowns, or are there seamstresses at tailors? (I''ve never used one before except a tailor for a BM dress hem.)

violet3 - Thank you!

You totally made the right choice! I love #1 and I think it''ll look even better with a sweetheart neckline!

it''s beautiful, and you look beautiful in it!

Kelli - Thanks!

elrohwen - Thank you! Yeah I need to find out exactly how to get the neckline done and who I should find to do it.

musey - Thank you! I''m very excited!

Nice choice! I''m a little late to the thread, but 1 was my favorite in terms of style and 2 was my favorite in terms of fit/flattery to your great figure (2 gives you such a great hourglass!). I think part of what makes 2 so flattering is the sweetheart neckline, which will look great on 1 once the alterations are done. Not loving 3 because it seems a bit ordinary compared to the other two. As for the bustle, I second the idea to try a double French bustle.

Fantastic choice :), congrats on finding the dress :D.

Number 1 was my favorite choice too! Good decision.

I don''t really see the wrinkles you were talking about but I agree you should try the double french bustle. Once you visit a seamstress she''ll be able to tell you how to fix the wrinkles here and there and the best way to bustle the dress. Congrats on finding the one!

jstarfireb - You''re not late at all, at least not in my book! Thanks for commenting. Yeah I''ve gone back over the pictures so many times. #2 really was a beautiful dress. It was just tight enough though through the waist that I think that was its only (and I do mean ONLY) losing point. The tightness really is what accentuated the hourglass look, haha but I think that squeezed some flab/skin down to my hip area, which accentuated the one without beading.

I even noticed just now when looking through the pics again that the neckline on #2 actually looks a lot better - somehow, it fits perfectly against my skin and makes absolutely NO pudges in the skin whatsoever. AT ALL. And that''s something I didn''t notice while trying them on. #1 does it a little bit, but not terrible. #3 did it bad, which was something the woman pointed out to me. Maybe in doing the sweetheard neckline with #1, that will relieve that problem a little bit. We''ll see!

My mom said the same thing about #3 - she said it was sort of forgettable, at least compared to #1 or #2.

Deelight - Thank you!

lovesparklies - Thank you also! Yeah the wrinkles are not very noticeable, I just know they''re there now because I had to get really picky about the dresses to choose one over the others. Guess I need to start the search for a great seamstress!
