Mara-
That really sounds just like what I am looking for...my current setting is beautiful, but it will not allow any kind of band to sit flush-not even near flush, and I know that is going to bother me in the long run, because I want to wear my rings together. My current setting is a platinum solitaire with claw prongs, with just pave surrounding the basket...the Ritani will be very similar, e.g the thinness of the band and the pave basket, but the Ritani will have the pave eternity band, which I love...the only thing I think I would miss would be the claw prongs, but I think the prongs on the Ritani are really nice too!I just dont want my diamond set really high... Maybe I will contact Mark (at ERD, where we purchased the ring) to see if be could get me the Ritani (I vaguely remember him saying he is a dealer...)
Thanks so much for your help, I will let you know how this turns out...
Ohhh- thanks Mrssalvo!!! You have been such a great help to me too! I never really considered changing my e-ring setting before, but I think there is just no other solution if I want a flush-fit, ya know? The gap that is there when I put a w-band next to my ring is just too big- it kind of looks stupid. I hate to give up my gorgeous setting, but the Ritani is just as much if not more gorgeous, and the fact that it will sit flush with a w-band is so appealing! I never thought I would like an EC with pave, but I saw one last week in a high-end B&M around here (it wasn''t Ritani) and it was just beautiful- the pave did not take away from the EC at all- which was what my original fear was! That''s why with my ring I went with the plain solitaire. I love my setting, but sometimes I feel like it needs a little more... definitely seeing that ring in the store made all of that fear go away though, for sure!Date: 7/9/2006 7:54:28 PM

I will certainly let you know what happens, maybe I will give Mark a call this week?!
On another note, any decisions re:your upgrade? We can be Ritani twins! lol
The pave in the ritani bands is so subtle that I don't think it would take away from your EC at all. it really only add a little shimmer of sparkle and is so lovely IMO. Can't wait to see what you find out.
No decisions yet on a home for my bauble. I'm waiting for it to get back from AGS and to see it in person first.
ETA: don't know why I'm in the blue box
