Tacky or neat idea?

I thought I might add that when someone doesn''t mention your gift specifically, it is possible they don''t know what gift you gave. It is very embarrassing to say..."I thank you for the gift, but truthfully, I don''t know which gift you gave me."

The tag you attached, may not have been on the package when they got it. I think a good idea is to add your name on the INSIDE of the gift. That way it is one more added way to insure they know who went to the trouble to shop. It is also easier for them to reply with appreciation.

Again, just a thought.

Tacky and rude. Also it should be mentioned that some photographers give these photocards away in their packages, as they are good marketing items promoting the photographer to other potential customers, sometimes they have the photographer''s info on the back.

Names and addresses on wedding invitations should be handwritten, the trend now is to have professional calligraphy, but if you can''t afford that (I can''t) you should just use neat handwriting to address the wedding invites. Shower invites and save-the-dates I don''t think that this is as much of an issue, but labels or computer printing for wedding invites isn''t considered proper.

My Sister is a Graphic Designer, she''s done MANY invites for every level of wedding.
(Including some very expensive ones.)
I''ve attached example from a moderately priced wedding.
Now-a-days it is perfectly acceptable and even nice to to make labels for addressing the rsvp cards and the outer envelope of the invite. It just has to follow the design of the evite - and be elegant and sophisticated. Not just your regular "Avery mailing label."

It''s just not within most people''s budgets to spend $2.50-$4.00 per envelope to have Calligraphy.

Scintillating...
