Tacori Process for Getting Matching Band

I have a beautiful HT2510 engagement ring that we purchased from a local jeweler. We recently went back to order the matching band and learned that we have to mail out engagement ring out in order to have the band created. This means I have to part with my ring for 4-6 weeks. This seemed a little odd to us, so I thought I'd see if this is typical procedure for Tacori? Anyone else had a similar experience? We're just a little unsure why this is necessary and want to be sure this is standard procedure for Tacori.
