After months and months of lurking and drooling over everyone''s rings, I finally have an ering of my own. I would love to post pictures, but am having a hard time taking good ones. I am using the macro mode on my Sony Cybershot. I find that they are still coming out rather blurry and I can''t seem to get close enough. Any suggestions? TIA

don''t get too close! the camera has a certain minimum distance it can focus at. you can use trial and error or read the manual to find out what yours is.
you need to make sure you are at a distance that is far enough away to allow it to focus on the ring and not something in the surroundings.

also try searching for past threads. this is a question that gets asked a lot!

Put any lens in front.

eg pull out the pink insert from the $25 ideal-scope and use that - the clear perspex lets the light thru and you can get much cloesr.

But probably dont use macro and sit the camera and lens as close as possible

Thank you both for the suggestions. I will read over the previous threads, and try using a lens without macro.
