Not sure if this is the approved way to share a beautiful ring . . . or whether I should just add to the eye candy thread?

I got this ring in the Carribbean at Diamonds International. It contains a 3.84 ct pear tanzanite and 1.45 ctw natural diamonds in 14kt yellow gold. I fell in love with the style even more than the beautiful tanzanite. I love, love colored gemstones with diamonds around them!

It's beautiful. I am particularly fond of tanzanite. And I love how the yellow gold sets off the individual diamonds so that you can see each one clearly.

That's a great blue.

What a fantastic size! Lovely...

Yummy color! I love the yellow gold with it & the diamonds, brings everything out so nicely.

Wow! Nice size!

Very pretty. Great color.

I love that perfect tanzanite color - yum!

Welcome! And wow - what a ring! I love the rich yellow gold paired with the lush violet blue tanzie. That's a ring I would absolutely love to have. The double halo with the different sizes of melee is a nice touch.

What else can you share? We want to see it all! :)

Love that color--great finger coverage! I bet that ring gets noticed!

Wow, that's a head turner for sure! The tanzanite is beautiful and I love that the surrounding diamonds aren't tiny. I also like the colored stones surrounded in diamond sparkles.

Yes . . . that was exactly why this ring caught my eye . . . and I felt like I had to have it. We haggled quite a bit with the sales person and got the manager involved. I work in jewelry retail and told them I just wasn't going to pay retail for the ring. :)
The only problem is that I worry about wearing it too much because I really don't want to damage the tanzanite.

Re: Tanzanite diamond ring(s)

Rather than start a new thread, I will just add my other tanzanite diamond rings to this one. :)

Here is a pretty little tanzy diamond ring I bought on ebay years ago. It definitely is pre-loved. The prongs are pretty worn and there is a chip on the tanzanite, but it's still really pretty and cost me very little so I just love it. The scalloped look of the gold really is appealing to me.

I love your new pear Tanzanite! That is quite the show stopper ring!! Incredible finger coverage, for sure!! And kudo's to you to be able to use your retail jeweller's knowledge and be able to negotiate a better deal!! I've always wondered at those stores, would they negotiate? and if they would --- HOW do you get them down to what you want to pay?? I'm so bad at that kind of stuff! I have friends that could sell swamp land in Florida or ice to Eskimo's, but not me. Any tips??

Yea for more tanzanite!! I love the color of your rings--super vivid. Can't wait to see the rest of your collection :appl:

YUM! Nice like looking stone and ring. I love how saturated the stone looks in the hand shots!

I just start off by telling them I work in jewelry retail and that I obviously get a discount at home . .. so I will NOT be paying retail. Then I examine the item carefully and make comments that let them know that I know my stuff . . . and can spot quality (or not) in a piece of jewelry. Then I let them know that I own enough jewelry that I don't NEED their piece but certainly would be happy to purchase it IF the price is right. :)

Re: Tanzanite diamond ring(s)

Ok . .. here is a beautiful round tanzanite (love that cut for tanzanites) that I bought in a different setting which I just didn't love. I had it reset into this gorgeous and unique setting . . . however, I asked the jeweler to do split prongs and he obviously didn't have a clue . . . not sure if I should send this to someone to see if they could do a better job. The prongs are platinum . . . the setting is 14kt white gold.
Spec: Tanzanite - 3.25 ct (8.6mm) with 1.5 ctw diamonds

Hi,

I love your rings. I am a big fan of tanzanite. The colors are so beautiful. I think you have to be careful when you wear the rings
Not an everyday ring.

Thanks for posting the rings.

Annette

I have to be especially careful working in jewelry retail . . . putting your hands in and out of jewelry cases is actually very hazardous to your rings!!

Another lovely tanzanite ring I got from LeVian . . . with chocolate diamonds. :)

And here are the last two tanzanite diamond rings together . . . I like to have gemstone "families"

What luscious tanzanites and such complex and luxe settings! What fun to see - thank you!

DUDE. I bet you can see these things from across the room - especially that big pear!

What other goodies do you have floating around?

Wow. You really like tanzanite, don't you?!! :praise:

+1. It's obvious. Is the bench at the jewellery store you work at not able to split the double prongs for you?
