Tanzanite diamond ring

Your tanzys are beautiful. If I weren't such a klutz...

All gorgeous, but I am partial to the rounds (if you saw my stone collection, this wouldn't surprise you).  Barry posted a beautiful round tanzanite several months back, and boy, did I lust over that thing...I have two tanzanites that I'm not sure what to do with, because I am afraid I'll damage them (like pregcurious).

Wow. You really like tanzanite, don't you?!! :praise:

+1. It's obvious. Is the bench at the jewellery store you work at not able to split the double prongs for you?
The original bench that did it obviously either didn't understand what I wanted or was unable to do it. I can show it to another bench (we have four) and see what he thinks. I love split prongs . . . and this just isn't quite what I had in mind.

The round tanzanite in the setting with the not quite split prongs is actually my safest setting . . . it is surrounded by a lot of metal so unless I were to hit it right on the table, it's pretty safe.

These days, I'm afraid to damage everything :errrr: I hope my paranoia will erode over time. :praise:

Have you asked the original bench why he didn't fully split the prongs? Perhaps there is a good reason.

With tanzanite, it's not only knocks that cause chipping but do be careful with sudden temperature changes which may cause internal cracking.
