Tapered, knife-edge, or round?

I'm debating between these three settings. What do you think would look best with a 2mm shared prong wedding band? Will the tapered band make the center stone pop more? The knife-edge is the thickest band by a bit, will that take away from the center stone at all? Mine is 1.23 carats. I'm not totally clear on what half-round means, is the top rounded and the bottom flat? Thanks SO much for any feedback!!

1 vote for tapered!

I vote for taper too. I think it will make the stone pop more than the others but the others are nice too. The half-round would
be my next choice.

You could ask BGD if they have any pics of these rings with shared stone bands that they could send you.

Half-round!

TAPERED!

Love the Tapered I think that is the exact setting I will be going with in a couple months

+1 half round, i think it'll look better with the band... imho...

I had the classic tiffany & co solitaire and I did not find the knife edge particularly comfy. Pick something else.

I chose a tapered shank for my girl's e-ring. It has a delicate look but still feels durable. And I do think it makes the stone pop.

Another vote for tapered :appl: :wavey:

+1 for half round.

I too found knife-edge settings uncomfortable when trying rings on, though I wonder if I wore one regularly would I just adjust soon enough...

I like the half-round setting to be worn with a band. But, neither the half-round nor the tapered will allow a straight wband to sit flush, if that is something you feel strongly about.

Oh wow, I never thought about the flush issue. How big of a gap would there be, pretty slight? I'm curious to see pictures of anyone who has this issue w/ a similar ring.

I like the look of the tapered

+1 for tapered. It showcases the diamond a lot better, almost like it i floating on the finger. I heard the knife edge is uncomfortable to wear.
