And now hair pics!!

This is Alicia, she posted these hair pics here on PS back in the spring I think? LOVE HER HAIR!!!!

Did I mention how much I love her hair???? Looooooooooooooooooooooooooove.

And, I'll throw this pic in... Sorry the res sucks, it got really grainy when I shrunk it, but it started out pretty grainy. This is a few years ago in Mexico. I'm wearing some chunky sandals that probably put me up a good 2 or 3 inches, but you get the idea - my friend is kinda slumping over so as to not to look like an amazon next to me. She is about 5'10".

And, this was only a couple of months post breast augmentation. They've settled down a lot since then & look completely normal... In this pic I'm still a little swollen & the girls are still very 'high & tight'.

Anyhow, I'm short, but not skinny... got curves, etc. I'm just not what I would consider dainty or anything like it...

Teebee,
You are so cute! Go out and try on dresses already! I can hardly wait! If we all waited until our bodies we''re perfect, few of us would have purchased a gown!

Everything is so beautiful!! I LOVE that hair pic! Looks great. Love the Chapel, love it all!!
This wedding is going to be great.

BTW-I do not think you are curvy/out of shape at all! U look great!

Crazy teebee!

LOVE EVERYTHING!!! That chapel is absolutely breathtaking, and your reception placelooks like tons of fun to decorate, a blank slate but with character! I really love the send BM dress...who the deigner? And how much does it run? I''m planning to buy my girls dresses for them and am on a budget, but want to find nice floor length dresses. There are so many choices my head feel like its spinning! And i thought buying a gow for my self was hard! You are too cute btw! My friend also has your body tiype, petite and curvy and looked GORGEOUS in a strapless ball gown. Looked very vavavoom with both curves and a defined waist. I think it was the more structured bodice that gave nice "control" y''know? Anyway, can''t wait to see waht you end up picking, everything looks so beautiful so far!!!

Thats a good point Ginger...re: the structured bodice to help hold things in and bring it all together and inwards. That would really accentuate your cutie curvy figure TeeBee!

Teebee..maybe the bridal shops can help suggest what they think would look good on your figure...a reputable one that is! Aka someone who knows their stuff.

I found trying on dresses mentally challenging and didn''t take anyone with me hardly at all because I really needed to see what *I* wanted to look like instead of having my mom going oh that''s great or that''s bad etc and muddying up my initial thought on things. When I finally thought I had the one I wanted, I brought my mom who loved it. Whew! But I went alot of nights alone and just tried things on my by myself, it was more peaceful that way and I could really just mull over what I liked or didn''t like before bringing anyone else with an opinion in.

Oh and yeah I tried on a princess frou frou dress...SCARY beyond words for me and my shape. I looked like a cake topper, SO not me. I showed Greg the picture I took because I was obviously not getting that dress and he started laughing. I was like THANKS assclown!

Teebee - I agree with everyone else - love the chapel and the reception site

Nothing like that chapel in San Francisco either

As a fellow short curvy girl, who has tried on a fair number of Casablancas and Maggies, I did have a couple of things to share. First, Casablancas tended to be cut the best in the bust for me, as long as I had the right size. Also good to know is that they will change things about your dress - I got my hollow-to-hem customized so my dress won''t need to be hemmed, but they told me I could also change the neckline and/or add straps as well as a number of other things, so I would be willing to bet they could leave the ribbon at the waist off of #2 entirely. Maggie''s gave good support but a lot of the styles were cut smaller in the boobs (although not such an issue with the corset backs because then they can just lace accordingly) - the zip-up styles had some trouble accommodating my "girls" (34DD, and I''m about your height). The Celeste I loved in the picture for just the same reason you said, but when I tried it on that seam that runs diagonally across the body had the unfortunate effect of making my hips look wider, which was really unflattering. In any case, I hope that is a little bit helpful from someone with a similar body type, and I also agree with trying on lots of different styles - I never thought I could pull off a ballgown or box pleats, and look what I ended up with...

It will be fun to try on dresses - I can''t wait to see pictures!

THE most stunning chapel I have ever seen!!!! WOW!!!!!

And everything else looks amazing too! :-)

Just wanted to pop in & say thanks for all of your comments and suggestions!!!! I''ve got to get to class.

But Ginger ~ The BM dresses are Watters. I''m sure they''re fairly expensive being silk dupioni (but I was really set on that fabric because of my ceremony location) but the price through netbride.com is around $195 or something like that? I''m not sure that we are ordering through them.

Holy cow, teebee, your wedding''s going to be amazing! I adore all of the choices you''ve made! Your chapel is literally breathtaking--it gave me chills imagining a wedding there! Your reception site is gorgeous, I love your orchid bouquet & centerpieces (the quote you got sounds really reasonable too!) & I love the dresses you posted. (both bridal & BM) And you''re just adorable!

Seriously, get out there & try on dresses! (and share the pics with us!)

I think that''s a good idea to ask for the assistance of the folks at the bridal shop at choosing what would look good on you. A strapless gown, especially a corset-backed one, could do a nice job of keeping all of the curves in place & adding definition to your waist while still showcasing your bust. Also, you''re right about what a difference a little dip in the middle of a neckline makes. I tried on several very similarly structured Maggie gowns (Tayla, Paulette, Mariella). From what I could tell, their basic shape was the same, but the Tayla had a slight dip in the center of the bodice/neckline & the others didn''t. It made a huge difference to me! Also, if you go w/ a corset backed dress, alterations aren''t as crucial & it''s ok if your weight fluctuates a bit before the wedding.

I can''t wait to see how this all comes together! It''s going to be fabulous!

for me a dropped waist works really well. I am 5 foot. i really like to enhance my waist as well. i also have a decent size chest so my torso gets lost sometimes. maybe you could try this on too? just a thought.

Teebee! We have sibling chapels--our chapel is also made of glass and surrounded by trees! And like you, I nearly wept when I walked into it the first time. Every time I go back to visit I get all misty-eyed picturing our wedding there.

I love the fabric and style of both of your BM gowns.

Have fun trying on dresses and show us some pics!

Love the orchid bouquet--especially the unique color. I just saw a Martha Stewart wedding TV show where she did the same bouquet in white.

YAY! THanks for sharing!

And I personally love the first and third wedding dresses, that bow on the second one just isn''t working for me.

Teebee, everything you chose is sooooooo pretty!!!! LOVE LOVE LOVE the chapel and reception location!!!!
My fave dress is "Jamie"
The Casablanca dress is VERY pretty but it is a total knockoff of the Monique L''ahullier( spelling???) swan lake dress...which would bug me...but it is soooo delicate and pretty!!!
GREAT choices and good luck

OMG - Teebee the chapel is freaking AMAZING!!!!

And I LOVELOVELOVE the hair you posted...GORGEOUS!!!

Teebee- I love that chapel every time you post it! it''s just gorgeous.... and your reception site is as well! Have you tried on many dresses yet? It''s so necessary to see what works best on your body (and also so we can see pics

Hmm. I don''t see it as being a knock off of swan lake at all.. First, swan lake has a VERY dropped waist, like all the way down past the hips, and the bodice is much more fitted. Second, the skirt on swan lake is tulle, and this skirt is satin and the way they attach are very different. Not that it matters.. I seem to be the only one who likes the casablanca dress anyway. I know I don''t really like swan lake, and I LOVE LOVE LOVE the casablanca. :)

That chapel is so dreamy! I love all your wedding plans so far! Keep sharing more pics!

Hey Teebee,
My FI was just describing a wedding that he went to in YOUR chapel. I showed him the picture and he confirmed it! He said it was out of this world (which your pictures clearly show.)
I just thought that was cool.

Sheesh, girl, your wedding is going to be gorgeous... It should DEFINITELY be in a magazine or something!

teebee,

I hope you don''t mind but I fall in love with your green orchid bouquet so I printed the picture and showed it to my florist. Please do not be mad at me for stealing your idea. Our wedding will be on the 26th this month and I was cutting really short on making decisions. I really hope you don’t mind. You have exceptional great taste. Thank you very much for sharing them.

we are having ours at the houston museum of natural science - The Cockrell Butterfly Center

Hi all - I''m in the midst of mid-term hell & have been studying studying studying for days days days now so no time to really post & respond until Thursday - but thank so much for all of your compliments and feedback. I''m going to look at/try on dresses this weekend.... gulp!!!

In the meantime, let''s eat cake!!! I saw Mara''s cake posted on Tybee''s flower thread (yes, I''m playing hookie from the books for a few minutes to clear my head) & that reminded me that I should post my cake on here - or at least the cake I''m wanting to copy. This is from a bakery in Tulsa, which is too far away from our wedding in Arkansas for them to deliver, so I''m hoping a local bakery can do a decent imitation:

Teebee that cake is just stunning!!!! I love the detail work on it. We wanted a fondant cake (even though they really are mostly tasteless, the fondant part I mean!) because of all the fun stuff you can do with it and I had lots of ideas, but in Hawaii the cake gal (who did Matt LeBlanc''s wedding and is an awesome cakemaker!) said she didn''t really recommend it because if it was a really hot and humid day then the fondant could MELT. Which could have been bad. So we did a frosted buttercream and she smoothed it to look like fondant...worked out very well because the day and evening of the wedding turned out to be very warm, warmer than the days preceding it, and we may have had a melted cake. Then the next day a huge STORM blew in, knocked over a tree and carried some of our tables down the lawn! So glad we didn''t plan the wedding for the day after. hee hee.

teebee-

All of your choices and potential choices are gorgeous. The chapel is breathtaking and perfect on its own- good choice on not gilding the lily! Reception site, flowers, dresses (any of them!) and cake are fabulous and I think you are going to have one HECK of a wedding!
