Hi! I bought a 4ctw tennis bracelet from Costco. I thought it was perfect when I got it since I was thinking of stacking it with VCA or Cartier so I wanted a more dainty look and all my inspiration shots tell me that.

But! this morning, I was looking at it and found myself thinking - the diamonds look kinda small. Ugh

The width on the 4ctw is like 2.6mm-2.7mm including the setting (6 pointers) and I think the 5ctw (8 pointers) would be a littler larger at 2.8mm.

I’ve ordered the 5ctw but curious if anyone else has had similar dilemma? Or maybe visually, the 4 and 5ctw would be similar?

Do you think it’s too dainty?? I’m 5 ft 2 for reference and about 125lbs. Excuse my messy house and my sweats

I really like it. I think it looks lovely with your other bracelets. In the end, you have to be happy with it. Good luck with your decision!

Mine is 5cttw, and I don't wear it on its own, always stacked with at least another bracelet, kind of lost in this stack which is the most extreme! :lol-2:

It’s a unique stack - I like it! Thank you for posting :p

I vote for the 5 ctw

Go as big as one can afford would be my advice! :lol-2:

For me personally, I would love one with 6mm/0.5ct diamonds in White Gold bezel setting - that I can wear on its own!

I like it, but it really is personal preference & if you’re not happy, change it.

Mine is 2.75ct for exactly the reason that I stack a lot of bracelets. I wanted it to fit in nicely & not be overwhelming, as most of my bracelets are delicate.

Good to see I am not the only one who likes to stack their bracelets!

Mine is a 5 ctw, but in the 3 prong setting. It’s a great stacking size, substantial but subtle for daily wear.
From memory, each stone was 11 points.

I think that’s exactly the size I’d want - good for stacking but with presence. Do you normally stack your 3 prong? Couldn’t help but notice the bangle too :p

Bigger is always better. But I also think the size you have looks very nice stacked. Not too small at all

I don’t tend to stack it as much as I now wear my watch on the same wrist, my right side.
I wear a jade bangle on my left wrist with a 1ctw bangle and I can’t take off the jade bangle off easily so that’s a permanent fixture on my left side.

I knew someone on the forum would say so lol. I love how people speak their minds here.

I decided to return the 4ctw. I tried on the 5ctw and it was noticeably brighter and bigger. Costco wouldn’t honor the promo, so I ended up returning both.

Call me crazy but now I’m thinking I need min 5ctw or larger. Or just pivot entirely to another bracelet that I’ve been eyeing but had decided to put off due to budget. First world problems

Here’s a pic for anyone else who’s considering a purchase between the two!

I measured the 5ctw and it was about 2.95mm vs the 2.7mm for the 4ctw.

Do you think the 5 ct. would be good for every day wear?

I think both looked very pretty. I guess it depends what look you are after and how you want to wear it. I kinda like the smaller ct weight with sweats lol. As @MissGotRocks said, bigger can be a little more formal.

Ah yes -if money were no object, I’d buy them in all sizes lol

I went through this comparison when I got my 4ctw tennis bracelet from Costco. I've learned to be content with it since it was $2,500 but I really want the 12ctw bracelet.

That’s a huge jump up in carat size for sure haha. You got a fantastic deal if you got it for $2500. When did you purchase yours? With the promo recently, the 4ctw was around $3200.

And if you were to get a 12ctw later, would you still go for the same style or a different look?

Looking at all these images I’m convinced that 4cttw is actually perfect for everyday. For fancy I think you need to go much bigger, and you could get that later. But the 4cttw is so versatile.

I think 5ct or maybe 6ct would be good for daily for me. I honestly can’t believe DSS set in when I thought the 4ct was perfect initially. I was going for the demure look but I guess I’m not demure :)

I think the sound of 5ct anything sounds big, but not so much when you break it into smaller pieces. I think the most important consideration is the intent of the bracelet. For daily wear that simply compliments other jewelry, 5ct should be a good size. If you want to make a big splash with it, you would need larger diamonds. However, I base choices on what I would most often wear and not for special occasions. I also wouldn't choose to spend as much on a bracelet as I would a ring. Just personal choice!

I got it May 2022. I haven’t seen it at that price since. The higher carat weight bracelets go on sale often. Do you follow the Costco thread? The other members share sales when they come up.

Settings are personal preference. I like the boxy 4 prong setting and how it stacks with my watch and oval bangle. I have a bezel CZ tennis’s bracelet and rarely wear it.

Yup I do :) the most recent two/three times the sales haven’t been fabulous.

I thought the 4ctw looked lovely but if ever you are on the fence, it is good that you set out to find the exact ctw you are looking for. My tb is a two prong in white gold, 7ctw....... the main reason I could afford it was because it is Lab grown and I am fine with that. :)

I know you decided to return them both but if I may add my 2 cents, I would get 5-6ct (I have 5.67ct) and later something stackable and small like 2-3ct. In case you revisit purchasing the bracelets again.

I totally wouldn’t mind going lab for a larger TB!

Thanks for your input! I’m sure I’ll revisit this page later in time. I had thought about getting a flexi bangle made in a smaller size as well and then get a larger TB. Choices choices
