I wanted to thank everyone for all your help and education. The following pics are of the ring I recently gave to my fiancee. Throughout our relationship, we have used "143" frequently as a way to discreetly say "I love you" (for those who don''t know, 143 stands for "I love you" because of the number of letters in each word - I (1) Love (4) You (3)). For that reason, I was looking for a center stone that was exactly 1.43 carats. I settled on this 1.43ct AGS0 ideal cut G VS2 round brilliant in the Scott Kay Signature Crown (M0722RD10PP) setting. I ended up proposing on 11/13, the only day of the year to make 143 (11x13=143). Everything went perfetly! Anyways, thank you again for all your help. You guys are the greatest.

Yowza. Incredible.

And romantic. I''m jealous I didn''t come up with 143 myself.

BEAUTIFUL! Well done!

Beautiful ring! And I love the private message behind the diamond. Congrats!

Thanks for the compliments! I love it but, more importantly, so does she!!!

That is a BEAUTIFUL ring and I love the proportions (can you tell us what size the side stones are?).

Thanks Dee*Jay. The side stones are approximately 0.20 each. It is a 0.40 ctw setting and I assume the 2 "surprise diamonds" under the crown don''t account for much weight.

My hubby and I have used 143 for YEARS (been together 9 years, married 7). It''s cool to have our own little code.

Absolutely breathtaking!!! Everything about that ring is perfect -- the sentiment, the cut, the proportions, and that side view is to die for!!! I love this setting. Congratulations!!! She is a lucky lady.

I''m kinda glad other people know about 143. When I was looking for stones and requested stones that were exactly 1.43 carats, some people were looking at me like I had 2 heads. Some salesman at a B&M store actually refused to search his inventory because he said there was no way I would find a stone that specific. Thank God for PS and for online vendors!!!

That ring is gorgeous! And it was quite an accomplishment to find a stone that exact size because the 1.4 range is hard to find period! Your fiance has beautiful hands and nails, too! Perfect to show off that beautiful ring!

Thanks diamondseeker, I like her hands too...

Congrats hartford! Tough find and nice pics!

Metro ... love your Marilyn Monroe avatar too!

Beautiful ring, it looks well-proportioned on your lovely hands. I love the scott kay profiles, it''s nice to be able to see the side of the stones.

Absolutely beautiful ring and stone! I love the proportions. Best wishes to both of you!!

What a beautiful stone and ring! It looks larger than a 1.43. It must be that the proportions of everything are so perfect.

Congrats on the engagement. Sweet sentiment!

This is truly a beautiful engagement story!! You put in some hard work, and it paid off! I normally don''t like the side views of 3 stone settings, but I absolutely LOVE the one you picked! I think it''s the proportion of all the stones that you picked out. The profile is really gorgeous (I''m obsessed with side views). You did an amazing job. Congratulations!!!

That is a gorgeous ring, and I''m sure your new FI loves how much trouble you went to to incorporate your code in the ring and the proposal. PSers spend so much time tracking down a stone with the right cut, color and clarity, that I can only guess how much tougher it is if you have to meet those requirements and find an exact weight.

BTW, what size is her finger? I''m guessing 4.5-5. She has lovely hands.

Wish I had found that avatar as it is Lorelei in the flesh!

Thanks again for all the kind words. She actually has pretty tiny hands. The ring size is 3.5.
