Actually, I was wondering what I am supposed to say if a customer asks me where I got my ring (when it comes). I bet I will get into trouble if I say Whiteflash. I wouldn''t normally be bothered but they told me we have a lot of mystery shoppers coming in to check up on us so I don''t want to get into trouble. I don''t want to lie either.....

Hmmm, honestly I don''t think I''d wear a ring from another company in there. I''d leave my ring at home and wear company pieces that look good on you instead (asumming your boss likes this idea). Then if people ask you can say it''s made from the company and how much you like it... If you are working on commission, I wouldn''t stear your clients to bad advice in any way, but I wouldn''t wear non-jewelry company that would encourage them to buy elsewhere either.

I have lived in the Bay Area (Northern California) since Aug ''91 but came from Newton Aycliffe. So I am quite used to taking the bus to Newcastle or the Metro Centre. My mom still lives there and I should go back next summer (and am planning to take my 2 younger ones to Metroland- Please tell me it hasn''t closed down as my mother seems to think- there is still a website so I''m hoping not. I keep forgetting to ask my sister...)
I always loved looking in Russell & Bromley and then round the corner to Northern Goldsmiths on the way to M&S.
So if you''re still there next summer I will be certain to stop by and see if I can''t admire your WF halo in person

I think Metroland is closing down. Not sure when though. There seems to be some kind of petition to keep it open (started by some little kid I think) but it seems they want to make that area the cinema and use the original cinema site for more shops. Its the end of an era! I used to hang round there when I was a teenager!

On a happier note - they are building a new big Debenhams in the town. I love shopping there! I bought my original wedding dress there for £200!

Hey Skippy, my parents live 10 minutes from Tenterden - it''s a really pretty little town - loads of good antique shops and a really nice jewellers!

They do. . . Pandora!!! I love Tenterden. It is so pretty and quaint; in fact we walked to that grocery store on the main road near a Catholic church and I loved the fresh brie and pastry's there! Also, they is a yummy fish and chips place in a gas station on the main road; hopefully you tried it out
