That setting was made by a local jeweller, so that I can fix it easily if there's any problem. If you want, I can send you the CAD in PM.
On the sides, the ring contains 12 JP decagons, 20 regular round 1.8mm (not Ideal H&A), and 14 baguette 3*2mm; there's a bunch of smaller diamonds on the front/back. I bought the round + baguette melees from a random Indian guy with zero photos I met through online chatting app (not kidding, LITERALLY). Shipping internationally took 12 days, after it arrives it's shipped overnight to my address (he says it's the same whichever country you are in). I asked for highest quality possible (in India at least), and he delivered So I guess you can ask your local store to "use best quality baguette possible"?
My dream is replacing those baguette with Jann Paul Emerald Cut 2.0 or Radiant X. EC 2.0 is basically a pure upgrade from regular baguette (and emerald cut), while radiant give rainbow flashes in melee size (there's no radiant cut melee diamonds afaik, so it would be a pretty expensive custom order).
Oh wow, I'm glad it all worked out so very beautifully for you! That's amazing how you bought the round and baguette stones online <3 I think it would be too big a project for me now, but thanks for offering the design to me!!! So kind!! Post more of it when you can
I'm filming videos of this ring under every lighting condition possible It will be the most detailed customer review of JP decagon ever. Hopefully I can finish this project by early next month.
This is actually my first super ideal diamond (and my second diamond overall, so it was a huge upgrade). After getting this ring, everything else at jewelry stores look so ... boring. I used to find them very beautiful, and they're indeed still beautiful, but now nothing I've seen (so far) can match this ring.
I want more people know that there's a level way higher than GIA 3EX. That's why I plan to make reviews as detailed as possible.
