It finally arrived and I am in love! It sparkles like crazy in the sunlight, but in low light the flashes of color are exactly what I was hoping for. I'm thinking of calling it "Oooh aaah" because it's like a tiny 4th of July fireworks display on my finger

I chose the diamond from the wonderful Perry Chen and had always loved the French cut sides so this is my dream ring. The superb workmanship exceded my expectations and I can't stop staring at it.I really cannot say enough good things about my experience with everyone at Leon Mege Inc. and will definitely work with him again. He's got a great sense of humor and spent quite a long time with us when we visited to place the order. I needed to have the ring in time to leave for a trip and it arrived on the day they promised when I ordered it. Great customer service!

It's a Tiffany's bead setting, round center stone is 2.35 "triple X" F, SI1 (no fluorescence) with a half carat in stones on a 14k white gold band.

I posted on the Colored Stone E-rings forum, but thought I would share the bling here too!

My wonderful boyfriend/life partner of over 5 years gave this to me last week (no plans to formally marry).

The ring was designed by Kim Drosdick from Flux & Form (http://fluxandform.ca/) or (http://kimdrosdick.com/) in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. She is an amazing designer and we could not be happier with the finished product. Kim took us through the entire design process and the final ring exceeded our expectations!! We were part of the entire process which was great... from looking at a bunch of different diamonds through a loop... from design/sketch & revision... CAD rendering... wax mold... casting... stone setting and Viola!

I will attempt to include a picture or two (taken with an iPhone - not that great). The stone specs are as follows:

Centre stone - VVS1 Fancy Light Yellow (.73ct) GIA rated
Side stones - VS1 to VS2, E-F Colour (0.98ct)

The ring is 1.71ct total weight in diamonds, finished in 14kt white gold (palladium). Man does it ever SPARKLE!

My Engagement Ring Setting Upgrade

My Engagement Ring Setting Upgrade:
Below is my former ring setting - I would wear my solitaire and wedding band on the same finger:



And here is my new setting! I now wear my engagement ring and wedding band on different hands, since it might just be too much on one finger:




My solitary is 3.5 carats, my wedding band is 3.0 carats, and my new setting combined with the center stone is approx 5.38 carats (given to me a couple months ago so may be off slightly from what I remember- the certification papers are locked away).

Kind of tempted to get an eternity band to go with my new setting- maybe something on the more delicate side? Around 1.5 -2.0TCW?
