What a gorgeous, fabulous ring!! I''m so happy for you!
Thank you so much Ries! I will get some taken and post them for you all to enjoy...It IS a resort for us! We made serious use of it during the summer months for parties like every week. We have a palapa covered bbq island that rocks! We have cooked up to 30 burger patties at once on that thing and it has a knock out rotesserie unit we haven''t even broke in yet. It is more my husband''s bit of paradise--the bbq part--cuz he is the one always doing the grill. We have a seperate burner for outside cooking. The fridge is super cold for water bottles, juice boxes, cheese slices, condiments--whatever. The stereo system is amazing and my eldest son changed out the speakers for better ones and now it is over the top. We have lights that circle around the top of the palapa and tiki torches all over the yard encompassing the island, the patio and the jacuzzi for ambience. Don''t worry--I will get all of you here on Pricescope some awesome pix of my yard. It took 3 years to get the funds to pay for it and it was worth it. Our family has used the pool SO much! The hot tub has held up to 15 people in it at one time, but its made for 6-8 people with leisure room.Date: 11/8/2005 7:02:55 PM

You are too kind Deanne.
I am just starting my day online and beginning with your kind words has really made my day and I can''t thank you enough for that.
I have relatives in Orange so don''t be surprised if one day you get a phone call!Is Riverside anywhere by Orange? hehe... just kidding. I wouldn''t bother you... maybe.
Your rocks will be safe with RockDoc. He''s been quick on the draw lately so the wait shouldn''t be bad.
Warmest regards,
Jonathan

Hi Deanabana,
Thanks for the update! Here is a chart I copied and pasted here for ya regarding pros/cons of platinum vs white gold for a more full overview of the two metals. Hrm... it appears the chart didn''t paste as a chart but the order is correct. If you have any further questions about any of these comments don''t hesitate to ask.
Warm regards,
Jonathan
PS: Something to keep you distracted while the rocks are away... http://www.richardlandi.com/ We speak with RL on a weekly basis so if we can help you with the setting on this end we''re here for ya. If you did prefer to get the setting locally though I can understand too.
Platinum
White Gold
Comments
Pl: Inch for inch heavier and denser metal
WG: Inch for inch lighter
Comm: When both are put in your hands you can feel the weight difference of the platinum.
Pl: Scratches easier.
WG: Maintains it’s sheen longer than platinum
Comm: After polishing white gold will look shinier for a longer time than platinum will.
Pl: Wear~ability factor many times that of gold
WG: White gold wears thin over time and the shank may have to eventually be replaced
Comm: 50 years from now the platinum ring will be as thick as the day you bought it.
Pl: Maintains it’s white color forever.
WG: May eventually tinge to a very light yellow
Comm: Over time the acids in your skin may cause the white gold to slightly tarnish causing it to change color
Pl: Price is 3x to 4x as much as gold.
WG: Price is very inexpensive compared to platinum.
Comm: When considering the total cost of an engagement ring, the small amount more for platinum is deemed by many as insignificant in relation to the total cost.
Pl: Over time, long term maintenance on platinum involves visits for repolishing.
WG: Over time, maintenance on white gold rings can include repolishing, replating (rhodium finish), and/or eventual replacement of shank.
Comm: Neither metal will always look new. Both need eventual maintenance one way or the other.
