The Ladies In Waiting List Thread

I think it would be depressing (for lack of a better word) if I made it to the top ten-it really solidifies how long I have been waiting, and most of the time, I like to forget that it has been so long!

Well, there isn''t anyone to take off today!

Ah, but Mimikins, I have still at least two months to wait... If I''m right, he propose on/around our anniversary on August 31st, so that''s three more months!

kalispera, I can understand that, I''ve been here 7½ months! So I can imagine how long the top 15 ladies have been here... They deserve to be taken off soon!

Yes, it''s very frustrating. Mostly my fault since I''ve yet to be aggressive to the point of ''I''m leaving if nothing''s coming...'' I registered the day after we first went to Tiffany''s as a joke (I thought) and he actually wanted me to try on a ring. We''ve looked a bunch of times since and we both basically agree on which ring is the right one. Literally all of our couple friends are now engaged or married. I know he wants everything to be a surprise, but it''s getting silly...

However, we have plans for the furture and he keeps talking about trips we are going to take next year. I think he is a little more wedding phobic than marriage phobic (as am I) since we have unusal family circumstances. I told him we could do whatever he wanted to do (which isn''t exactly true, but I need to get the ball rolling)...

We have to sign a new lease by the end of this month, so I think our big talk will come soon.

Hopefully, I''ll be back with an update soon!

Good to see you Amanda!!

Hope ALL OF US up top see some list action soon!

Thanks,

Please add me to the list.

Thank you so much anchor! I guess 66 (the number I was at) is now my lucky number! Blast off!

I was going to say, ooh, I hope 66 is our lucky number, too. But that''s too close to where we are. I''m thinking we''ll be in the low 60s or 50s when it happens. Maybe even higher up to the top. If only these boys would get *on it* already!!

Does anyone know have any good ideas for quality (inexpensive) diamonds in Los Angeles?

This is a question to post in the Pocky Talky forum hon. GOod luck looking!

Hi Monique (sorry to post here--I didn''t see a new thread on Rocky Talky),
My BF and I just recently custom ordered a diamond and setting from Emmanuel''s in the Los Angeles Jewelry District. (Pics when it arrives

) I''ll be sure to get you their address from my BF, but for now to start to on your search you can look at this thread:
https://www.pricescope.com/community/threads/los-angeles-jewelry-district.7624/=
If that doesn''t work do a search for LAJD. I think the main thing if you go this route is to be sure to educate yourself before you go and know what you what. There is a lot of good advice from the PSers on Rocky Talky!

If you are like me, I wanted to see a variety of diamonds without having to hassle with mailing diamonds back and forth. There is certainly no shortage of diamonds at LAJD, you just have to ask for what you want. When someone brought me an assher when I asked for a cushion I wasn''t offended, I just let them know I was only interested in cushions. Actually, it was fun to look at other cuts and confirmed my commitment to what I had chosen. At times you have to be patient while they go run to get diamonds. From my understanding the shops have contacts with several diamond dealers housed elsewhere in the LAJD and they "borrow" what they need from them for the sales.

We shopped several vendor recommended by other pricescope readers and didn''t purchase right away. On the diamonds I liked, I wrote down the entire GIA certs and then compared them to similar diamonds listed on pricescope-- for the most part they were very competitive (though you do need to include tax). The setting are especially economical compared to what you can get on the web--I think that''s where you can save if you like the work of the jeweler.
Oscar (on the PS list) was particularly amicable and knowledgeable--we almost went with him. His work is superb. Emmanuel, however, came highly recommended by my BF''S bosses'' wives.

So I know they are satisfied customers. That personal connection help to get an even better deal. At the end of the day though he had the best stone for me at the price that I could afford.

Good Luck!

Anchor,

What if when you add someone to the list you put their date and number on the list next to their name like this: missladiva: 5/24/06, 73. Then as people move up we can see the date and number at which they started. Or would that be too depressing?

Thanks for keeping the list.

missladiva

missladiva - Just look at the ladies'' registration date, it should give you an approximate idea.
