My cat died on Sunday. We though she had an overactive thyroid but it was actually a brian tumor. She took a turn for the worst and had to be put down

4ever - I''m so sorry about your kitty. Losing a pet is so hard as they are truly our most loyal friends. Hugs!
 
Dishwasher is broken. Just out of warranty.
Going to be a week before they get out here to fix it. If they have the right part.


Serves me right. I actually thought about inviting people for Thanksgiving dinner.
Every time we have people over a major appliance breaks.

To name a few:
Had 30 people for a barbeque about a month ago -- the oven broke and the washing machine began squealing.
Passover this year -- the dryer quit.
Sukkot last year -- the dishwasher died. (yep. the one that is broken -- again)
Passover last year -- the kitchen light fixure (ever tried to cook for 15 people with only candles to light the kitchen?)


The only appliance in the house that we haven''t bought new in the last 15 months is the water heater. Okay. And the oven -- the guy was able to fix it (but it is still only 18 months old)

rain, rain and more rain today. hooray. oo. benefits meeting today. i can finally go to the doctor! woohoo!

Sad day. FSIL had another miscarriage. She was 9 weeks, the first was at 12.

Sunny - That is terrible, I''m sorry. Doesn''t seem fair that someone who wants and deserves a baby has these struggles yet there are so many unwanted and abused children in the world. Doesn''t make sense. Do they know what is causing this? Unfortunatley miscarrying is very common in your first few attempts, not that that makes it any easier...
 
I don''t know what caused it, but she''s very healthy. I feel so horrible for them. The only good thing is that they seem to get pregnant easily...both happened on the first cycle. I just hope that the third time is the charm I guess.

But the girl had 5 years of experience, so she was much more qualified. Oh well...such is life.

4ever, I am so sorry to hear about your cat.

SunnyD, my thoughts are with your FSIL. Some friends of ours had a miscariage earlier in the year and we have just been told they are pregnant again, but they are keeping it a secret still even though they are 5 months. It was so awful to see them so devestated.

Thanks bobbin. They're more frustrated than anything else now because they have to wait again to start trying. Once her hormones have returned to normal, they plan on doing some tests to figure out why their beans aren't sticking!

I feel like I''ve gotten a ton done in the last few days--in the next week, we''re meeting with 2 photographers, 2 bakers and 2 florists!

Freke, I ordered different shoes for my RD dress. Haha!! They look like Kenneth Cole Wicked Rich, which is what I originally wanted for my wedding shoes. They should be waiting for me when I get home!
