Bia - nothing yet, am currently trying to decide among the leftovers in the fridge. Either pork with blueberry-red wine sauce or braised beef. Trying to decide which will be better re-heated.

Elle - I play a lot of video games. That doesn''t so much get you out of the house, but if you get an XBOX 360, we''ll have to play sometime. That''s social, right?

I've literally never used it for games. J plays on it mostly. I use it for the DVD player. I never would classify myself as a video game person, but for someone reason I really liked WoW. Random!

What do you mean? I have a 24 bottles of wine on hand at all times so drinking = free. I''m a highly skilled shower singer and kitchen dancer so entertainment = free. I have a spare room, a big kitchen and a Starbucks branded fully automatic espresso machine so accomodations, food & coffee = free. Come on it''s 37 degrees here today! Doesn''t that sound fun? I''ll take you to the space needle! Well I''ll wait at the bottom because that thing freaks me out.

The recipe:

You Need:
boneless pork chops
1 shallot, finely diced
1/2 cup red wine
1/4 cup water
1/2 cup blueberries
1/2 lemon (zest and juice)
2 tablespoons butter
Fresh parsley, roughly chopped

Do This:
1. Preheat the oven to 425°F.
2. Salt and pepper both sides of each pork chop. Heat a tablespoon of oil over medium-high heat in an oven-proof skillet big enough to hold all four pork chops.
3. Brown the pork chops, about 1-2 minutes on each side. Remove the pan from heat and pop it into the oven. Remove when the pork is just cooked through, about 10-12 minutes.
4. While the pork chops are in the oven, prepare the sauce. Heat a tablespoon of oil in a small saucepan over medium high heat.
5. Sauté the shallots until soft and golden. Add the wine and water and let boil down for 1-2 minutes.
6. Add the blueberries. When the skins begin to burst, add the lemon zest and juice. Let the sauce continue to boil and thicken until the pork chops are ready.
7. Once the pork chops are ready, remove the pan from the oven and place the pork chops on a cutting board and let them rest while finishing the sauce.
8. Turn the heat off under the saucepan and stir in the butter until it is completely melted. If using unsalted butter, add a pinch of salt.
9. Serve the pork chops either whole or sliced, topped with the blueberry sauce and fresh parsley. Since the pork chops were finished in the oven, they should still be nice and juicy.

Breakfast this morning?

A big slice of lemon-coconut cake. I make this lemon chiffon sort of cake, put a thick layer of homemade lemon curd in between the layers, frost with an almond 7 minute frosting (kind of like marshmallow fluff only better), and then sprinkle with shredded coconut.

I need a hobby. I''m really bored lately.

What do you guys do for fun? Besides reading... I already read too much, and I need something that will get me out of the house and meeting people. I''m an introvert with extreme social anxiety.

if i could afford to i''d travel everywhere and then some, but hobby wise that''s more affordable i''ve found exercise-type things to be fun (gym, classes at gyms, sweaty yoga), and i like to go to area parks and hike and walk, go to wineries, going to a weekly concert is a rather forced hobby lol, i play in church orchestras and community bands occasionally, i worte for our school paper for a year, and over the summer i volunteered some at the hospital i work at

No cruise yet, we went up to Victoria Mon-Wed, which was great! It only rained a little. Okay, DH is harassing me to help clean up. Boo. I''ll be at work tomorrow so I''ll have all day to talk! LOL!
