There is not something wrong with me. There are MANY things wrong with me! I am pretty finicky about cheese. There are more things I don''t like than do like. Yes I''m weird. I don''t eat any type of condiment (sour cream, mayo, mustard etc) but I do like ketchup on fries. I despise onions although I do cook with them and then pick them out or I use the super fine side on my cheese grater and grate onion into my dish. No chunks just flavors. I''m very texture driven. If it feels weird in my mouth (don''t be dirty) keep it away. No tomatos unless it''s salsa. I hate spagetti. I only eat red meat about 4 times per year. I hate jello with crap in it, it''s just wrong. The list goes ON AND ON AND ON. Also my food is not allowed to touch and I prefer to get a tray from the local elementary school so I can keep my food divided.
Hahaha. You''re just like me but then not at all.

I hate anything that tastes like meat. If I can taste chicken flavor, I hate chicken. Same goes with red meat. I hate the taste of meat. I only like tofu or seafood.

I''ll eat chicken only if its fried and dipped in something. A plain chicken breast is disgusting to me.

I hate ketchup. I hate popcorn.

And jello with crap in it is really disgusting.
See Bia, I''m not the only crazy one!

Elle if you love seafood you really do need to make the trip out here! BF''s parents have a cabin on a private island (I know right?) and we go up there all the time and fish and crab and dig clams and pull muscles off the docks. We go back to the cabin and drink wine and literally feast for hours on the freshest seafood you can come by!
where do you live winelover?

I forgot you''re not a meat eater. Can''t you taste the chicken when you eat buffalo wings?
17.gif
If I do, it''s not enough to gross me out. usually there is so much sauce and bleu cheese that that''s really all I can taste.

I do eat chicken, it just have to have lots of stuff on it. I hate anything meaty tasting.

I think WL just invited us all to her boyfriends parents place, hmm?

I love pretty much every cheese I''ve ever had.
I like most cheeses. *Most*. But the super smelly ones are hard for me to handle. Whyyyyy would you voluntarily put something in your mouth that smells like feet?
it''s all about the taste P...

the tasteeee
18.gif
I''ll eat most stinky cheeses. Although, I saw donkey''s milk cheese being made somewhere (saw it on Travel Channel) and I wondered if I''d be brave enough to try it. Cheese is cheese right?

I''ve said it before and I''ll say it again: I only stop at squishy bugs and fermented fish/quail/duck/chicken/whatever eggs. Oh, and cooked celery! (blech!)
I''m going to have to take your word for that. I''ve eaten durian. That''s my stinky food quota for my life.
I''m intrigued by the durian fruit. Seen it many times on Bizarre Foods (he calls it his cryptonite). Supposedly it smells crazy. What does it taste like? We have a ginko tree here on campus. There are tons of little ginko balls all over the ground when I go to the library - no lie, it smells like vomit.
Hmmm...never heard of durian...off to google...

Wait, no, that''s MY favorite place on earth!!! Ahhhh, I looooove it! I was there when The Prez was there and saw him playing golf right behind where we were staying! We always stay in Oak Bluffs. Where do you stay?

We rented a house in Falmouth, right on the water. Took the ferry over there twice. We also went to Nantucket but I''ve always loved MV so much more. Nantucket seems so uppity - it''s like watching PREP TV or something.

Also made a trip out to P-Town - I love that place! Saw seals swimming!

Nice! I wanna see seals swimming!
9.gif

We''ve only stayed on Martha''s Vineyard. Never really been interested in Nantucket because of exactly what you said. If I wanted uppity, I''d just stay in the Hamptons for my vacation, definitely much closer. But on MV, everybody is just so chill, nobody cares who/what you are! I love it. I never feel as carefree as when I am there! Plus, my doggy loves it
9.gif

Maybe next year, we''re explore the Cape a little more!

I''m nt crazy about the Hamptons either which stinks because it is MUCH closer. Beaches are nice but the vibe isn''t my scene - I think the closest place resembling the Cape is Montauk, and even that can be bougie. I''m from Mass so I''m at the Cape every year - it has a special place in my heart but I love MV too. It''s like heaven on earth. Most beautiful beaches in the world (in my opinion) and the vibe is just so ''me.'' I love it!

Falmouth is great but I also love Chatham and Yarmouth. Provincetown should be seen by all at least once - it''s like the NYC Gay Parade every day...but on the beach!

Bahahaha, Bia, you just slammed everywhere BF''s family loves! That''s cracking me up. His grandmother lived in Westhampton BF''s whole life, and he took me out there to meet her. It was nice. We ate at a cute diner/breakfast place and wandered around on the beach. I think his family kept their beach club membership.... And every summer BF goes up to his cousin''s houses (yes, plural) on Nantucket. All he talks about is hooooow great it is. Mostly he''s biased because his family is awesome, but it''s left him with a very ideallized vision of Nantucket. I''m sure it''s great for anybody that can afford 3 houses...

Ok, so I don’t know what I did but I can’t type directly into PS anymore. I had to type this in Word and then copy and paste it over here! When I type in to the PS reply box, I get all sorts of weird characters! Does anybody know what I did or how to fix it?!?!? Heeeeellllllpppppp!

I have heard of Provincetown and that it is a must-visit but have not had a chance to check it out yet. Maybe next year we’ll stay on the Cape a couple of days before heading over to MV! I’m excited just thinking about it and it’s still at least 8-9 months away. LOL. When do you usually go? We usually go in August—we should have a MV GTG‼‼

Anyway, leaving work soon! Have a nice weekend ladies!

Don't get me wrong, Nantucket is really nice. It's a perfectly picturesque island town - with gray cedar shingle houses everywhere. It's somewhat understated (not like the Hamptons) but it is soooo preppy. Imagine people walking around with polo shirts, cardigans around their shoulders, sandals. And names like Buffy. LOL It's not hippy or mellow at all, which is what I like about MV. But hey, if I spent summers on Nantucket as a kid, I might feel completely different. I will say, they have GREAT ice cream...and the beaches are to die for! The island is supposed to be haunted (legend) which was cool because the day we went it was very cloudy and cool; Fog everywhere and the waves MASSIVE. Talk about wipe out! It was really fun. If you haven't been, definitely get out there soon. No matter where you go (Cape/MV/Nan) you'll love it.
Hamptons?

It's aaaaiiiiiight. Money money money money...moneyyyyy.

Re: Hamptons

I'm probably just hating because I could never afford a house there! It is nice, but I'm a Massachusetts girl so I can't like it THAT much!

eta: hisdiamondgirl - we always go in August. Sometimes I go in the winter - it's like a ghost town that time of year and I love that too! Definitely get out to PTown. People are crazy and fun. The beaches are beautiful but sooo cold - hence the seals. Very few places can you see a big burly man wearing a hot pink leotard, fishnets, high heels and a big, blonde, curly wig - all while hula hooping no less!

Now that sounds like my kind of town!!

I wasn''t too impressed by the Hamptons, tbh. Maybe I just didn''t make it to the fancy Hamptons.

Okay, so, I''m not a big cleaning person, but DANG it feels good to get the house in order. Since BF moved in, it''s been chaotic (and, let''s be honest, I''m not exactly going to win any awards for homemaking anytime soon), and I finally got sick of it and spent a good amount of time yesterday cleaning. Now all that''s left is dishes and the bedroom. We got hooks up for keys, leashes, and are putting some up for hats, bags, and other random bits and pieces. I want to organize things on the mantle, put a picture of us up, and get laundry done. It''s SO relaxing to wake up and go into a neat living room. We also put up a shower curtain for the bathtub since that''s where the litter box lives. That way the cats get privacy, we don''t have to see it, and the litter doesn''t get kicked all over the bathroom. And we got an organizer for the shower. I was seriously an organizational glutton yesterday. I love it.

Hi small talkers! Looks like I missed out on a lot the last few days...how is everyone doing?"

OK, so I know I haven''t been around this thread in forever and it''s been wayyyyy too long. BUT, I just thought I''d stop by because I''m feeling super giddy right now due to the fact that last night I went on a first date with the absolute hottest guy I have ever known. And we had a blast!

So yeah, hoping this one goes somewhere. Relationships recently haven''t really being going anywhere and I''m getting a bit frustrated.

Yay star! My fingers are crossed!

Princesss, can you come to my house? Please?!?!?!

Ok guys, what color shoes would YOU wear?
