ooo! i should try that. right now we are HUGE on white coffee. aparently it has more caffine. i just love the way it tastes.
funny enough, if i was in the city, the coffee stand would only be 4 city blocks away. not far at all. here, its like walking 10 miles, in the snow, up hill (bothways) and barefoot.

yet driving seems like such a waste!
white coffee? I''ve never heard of that ..

Now I''m really pissed. I wanna give her a piece of my mind, but maybe I should wait until I get my money back.

Did they provide you with a receipt for the cleaning service?

Did you guys leave the place clean when you moved out?

What state do you live in?
No they said it would need to be cleaned, but not how much. She sent an email telling us how much we were getting back. So it''s already done. Should she not have told us if the estimate was so freaking high since she''s spending OUR money?! 18 hours of cleaning?! Please!
38.gif

We did leave it clean enough, KWIM? I mean we mopped, scrubbed floors, bathrooms, etc. Even painted spots! Yeah there was cat hair, but isn''t that what a pet deposit is for?!

WA.

i would get an itemized report for that. you should be able to contest some of it, if you already cleaned it.

Lily - i never heard of it either, until i saw it at our coffee stand one day! it taste like (to me) if coffee was a tea, then thats what it would taste like. kinda like earl grey.

Just because she''s sent you the email stating what she''s taking out doesn''t mean you still can''t fight it. My old landlord tried to pull some crap with me, but I read up on state law and got my money back
2.gif

18 hours of cleaning?! There is just NO way that''s possible. You need to ask to see a receipt from the cleaning company. For that many hours of cleaning, there needs to be an itemized list.

Did you take pictures on move-in/move-out? Did you do a walk through with the landlord? Has it been more than 14 days since you moved out?

I found this information on your states laws:

"In Washington a landlord is required to give a tenant’s deposit back within 14 days of the end of the lease term. Along with the deposit they are required to give the tenant a written statement of the money spent on repairs above normal wear an tear. If the landlord fails to give you back your deposit with a statement describing what money was spent within that time period then the tenant is entitled to get back the full deposit amount. To enforce this law you have to make sure to give the landlord your forwarding address." olealawyers .com

I''m sorry if you''re resigned to letting this issue go and I''m dragging it on, I just get super pissed when I hear about a landlord trying to take advantage of someone, because I''ve been there and it sucks!

Thanks lily and jcar! Okay so DH (
9.gif
) did a walk through with the rental management lady the day after we moved out. There were some things that we knew about (broken blinds from the cats, obviously it wasn''t spotless) and she said it would need to be cleaned by a service. Fine, $200 or something, like every apartment I''ve ever lived in has charged!! Not fricking $630!!! DH signed it, and we were done. So then in her email to me she included another list of additional move out items. Dirty windows, counters needed to be wiped
20.gif
... Totally agree, 18 hours is ridiculous!

She sent the email on the 14th, exactly 2 weeks after we moved out. I''ll ask for an itemized list as my next step I guess. Thanks for the help, $600 is a lot of money I don''t want to let go of!

Good morning everyone.

White coffee is SO good. Especially with coconut and a little white chocolate. MMMMMmmmmm.

White coffee is MUCH higher in caffine. White coffee is just regular coffee beans that were roasted for a shorter time. They get roasted just until they are a kind of khaki color. ("regular" coffee gets roased until it is a shade of brown)
The reason for the higher caffine is that as coffee roasts it loses the caffine. So the shorter the roast time (lighter color beans) the more caffine it has.

I''m not a coffee person. I''ve tried it a few times but never much cared for it. Never even heard of white coffee. lol

ooo yum. i haven''t had it with coconut or white chocolate. one day they did put creamer and sugar in it... that made it taste awful!

Afternoon small talkin'' ladies!

I am so freakin tired today...hate Mondays!!! I need about three cups of this white coffee you all speak of! Never heard of it. I wonder if they have it anywhere near my job...hmmmm, have to go search for it now!

Hi Dreamgirl...long time no see!

Eeeeek! Guess who officially announced her promotion this morning? Me, that''s who! I start after Thanksgiving (which means I do get the day after Thanksgiving off - I was a little worried because my new group works that day). No more customers. No more answering phones. It''ll be a different kind of stress, but as long as it doesn''t involve face time with customers, I know I can rock it!

Thanks, ladies!

I don''t want to get too specific, but basically I''ll be more involved with the actual *work* of shipping instead of the customer-facing side. It''ll be harder work, and I''ll feel less like a trained monkey. It''s one of two sections in this industry that I find interesting, so it''s an exciting thing for me. It''s a small step up the ladder, but any step up is a good one right now!

So what is it exactly you'll be doing princesss? I'm excited for you btw!
