Good to see we are all getting in the Christmas spirit with our avatars again!

I started to put up our tree on Sunday and finished putting it together with the lights last night. Now all it needs is ornaments. Then onto decorating the rest of the house! I wanted to get an early start this year as Thanksgiving is the last week in November and then BAM it's December. Plus, I thought it would be good for us after everything we've been through lately. Something to bring us cheer hopefully.

Hi everyone! The wind was so crazy last night! Our BBQ cover blew off the BBQ...no easy feat. Had to get up and around and under, like taking your skirt off over your head. Yikes!

I know right? I thought our house was going to blow down! We might have water front property tonight! The Stillaguamish is on flood warning and our house looks out over the valley at the river!

Sunny & wine - the wind nearly knocked over our BBQ! i''ll be honest, i was shocked i had power this morning!!

No kidding! Luckily our development is brand new so it''s all underground power so we would probably never lose power but there are a couple trees that always make me nervous. If you want your tree to last cut like an inch off the bottom immediately before you stick it in the tree stand. Even if you go cut it down that day. Perk #2 about my BF''s family is they used to run a tree farm and they still have their back 40 full of trees so ya free x-mas trees for life! Plus BF knows how to make them all perfect after all the years of working on the tree farm.

I love our fake tree. I see it was a good investment. Since trees cost $100 every year and ours cost $100 for 10 years of enjoyment!

Then you just get a tree scented candle. Done and done.

i agree. at first i hated the idea of fake ones, but lately they look so nice, and so much eaiser to deal with! i''ll be honest, i love the pre-lighted ones. while i love stringing the lights, i hate the backseat drivers who always try to help me.
