I wish the attorneys I talk to every day said things that made me LOL. Most of the time they just make me want to throw my phone against the wall.

Why non-Engineers go into Patent Law, I''ll never know...but for some reason I end up interfacing with all the attorneys who don''t understand how the device works, let alone how to try and explain to *me* how it works via the application...

I totally have a (engineer) friend who wants to do that.
I wouldn''t mind working on the TM side of things when I graduate law school, but I looked and they are not hiring TMs people.

Do you like your job aside from that?

Ugh! That sounds awful!

Haha. It sounds worse than it is, because at least *I* know what''s going on, lol.

And T, they''re not hiring *anyone* right now, Patent or TM. For Patents, you don''t need your JD (I just have my Engineering BSE and MSE), but you do need it for TM. Keep your eyes peeled...ones filings start going back up, they''ll start hiring again.

I actually really love my job aside from sometimes having to deal with attorneys that are ill-equipped to handle their particular cases. We have a lot of freedom here, are paid well, and the DC Area is a GREAT place to live. Plus it''s where I met A, so I really can''t complain! (He''s an examiner on the chemical side, I work in drug delivery devices.)
