The first flight for our honeymoon was the ONE flight I didnt cry on. I was SO tired for that flight that it was like I didnt know what was going on!

I found one paper thats 20 pages!

For law jobs they suggest no more than 10 pages for writing samples. I have taken portions of written things and then attached a page explaining the assignment and that the sample represents the first argument in a brief, or whatever, and quickly summarizing the rest.

I figured like 5-7? I would take excerpts from the different parts of the paper, and then explain that it''s been cut down.

Ha. I don''t mind flying either -- it''s everything else that scares me. Lately I''ve developed this horrible anxiety when in a car. This is one of the perils of NYC living I guess.

That sounds great. They just want to know that you can write coherently and convey a logical thought process; sometimes I think employers don''t even read past the first page or two.

VC you are so lucky. I wish it didn''t bother me so much. J hates to fly worse than me and he refuses to drink to take the edge off. Funny thing is we''ve never flown together so it should be interesting. I promise I''ll end up being the one that is comforting him.

I''m the opposite. I wonder if it''s a growing-up-NYC thing. FI had a hard time learning to drive when I first met him - highways were the worst. I guess since he always took public trans.
