I love jeans Fridays!

I''m pretty sure DH wore shorts today. His place is pretty casual, so he wears jeans and polo shirts every day already. Some people wear shorts on Fridays in the summer and he kept swearing he was going to do it (he hearts shorts) but always felt silly. Today he''s taking a half day anyway and the weather''s so nice, so I think he went for it!

HAHA. I''ve worn shorts to work...but they''re those tailored dress shorts that have been popular the past few summers. I would NEVER wear jean shorts to work, or something of the like. Even though we don''t have a dress code, I just don''t think I could do it.

Even in denim shorts, I''m sure you would far out-class that woman who wears questionable attire to your gym.

That combined with you lovely ladies AND an e-mail from my friend that I''m visiting in 2 weeks with our agenda (including "smoothies on the way to the BEACH" and "flying my new kite at the BEACH") means I couldn''t be grumpy if I tried.

I''ve been strapped for time today but I did take a quick click! How fluffy and adorable are those dogs!?! I''ve never heard of the breed but they are cute!

Sorry to hear about the family dog. My family has had 5 dogs over my lifetime and the first one passed when I was 14 (and she was 15). It doesn''t get any easier, thats for sure. My thoughts are with your parents.

Cavs are amazing dogs. They''re the only small dog I''d consider! It''s too bad they have sooo many genetic diseases

The major one is where their skull is too small for their brain. It''s really painful. Just tell your parents to check out the breeder carefully and make sure they don''t have any of those things in their lines! As long as they''re healthy I''m sure they''ll be as loveable as they are cute

(though they''re a little too white and fluffy for my taste

Ahhh that makes sense! I had a bichon growing up. She was our first pet that was sort of mine. I got her for Christmas when I was in 6th grade. She died from a massive liver tumor just before my senior year of college. She was a really smart dog but insanely hard to house break. Took us almost 2 years! I''ve never met a Cavalier King Charles but I thought Charlotte''s dog on SATC was really cute! I love small dogs and hounds the most. If I can ever convince DH to get a dog, I''m really not sure what kind we will get!

Good morning, all!

Sister was here this weekend and we actually had a great time. No fights! Shocking!

Her interview on Saturday went really well. She interviewed with a small CPA firm in suburban VA. She really liked the partner that interviewed her and he said that she would "fit right in". All he has to do now is make sure they can afford to take on another person and he said he''d be in contact around the end of tax season. I''m keeping my fingers crossed for her!

My Vball tournament went well yesterday in terms of execution (I''m one of two in charge...so it going smoothly was actually important, lol) but not in terms of play for my team. We played the eventual tournament winners in Round 1. Obv. that did not go well. So my team has a perfect record over 3 seasons: 0-9, 0-9, 0-11.

But when you are a Rec team and you have people who are still afraid of the ball that play...well, it''s not going to go well.
