The Official TTC Thread!

Thanks, everyone, for your words of wisdom about the flu shot.

Welcome, So Cal! I''m guessing the amount of time you spend reading this thread will be indirectly proportional to how much time goes by before you start temping! But there''s no requirement to temp. There are at least a couple of "regulars" here who don''t.

Robbie, I''m looking forward to seeing your photos...gotta get some work done first today.

Fisher - how funny that you''re visiting your aunt! (Usually it''s the Aunties visiting us). Her name doesn''t start with an F does it?

Not much going on in my world. The post-O/pre-AF cramps that plagued me last cycle have not been as bad and have almost totally abated at this point, which is great. Part of what got me through the misery of last LP was thinking I was pregnant...now I''m just enjoying feeling like myself and hoping AF comes before the Halloween party we go to on Sat.

LOL! Yes, that is the most accurate thing to say. We are pushers of the temping drug after all. A bad gang of kids for sure!

Hi All!

Not much time to chat, but wanted to give you an update - I''m at 12 DPO/32 CD. No sign of AFF as of yet and no symptoms excpet for feeling nauseous this morning. I honestly thought I was going to throw up which was weird, but trying not to read into it...soooooo I''m still knitting. I had a fairly big rise in temp this morning, but again, not too optimistic after yesterday''s drop (geez, this is like watching the stock market!). Anywhoo...just waiting to see what happens tomorrow. On a side note - hubby and I had a wonderful time celebrating his birthday last night. We went to this cool Cuban restaurant here in the city - they play live Cuban music while you eat (event the hostess and wait staff get into it) and it was one of the places which is only lit by candles on the inside...very romantic!

Welcome SoCal!

DD is right...temping is addicting

, but kudos to you for giving things a whirl without it. Best of luck!

Robbie - your pics were perfection!

Another talented PSer...sounds like this could be the start of something for you (a little side job perhaps?).
36.gif

Festy - fingers crossed for you!!!

LL - how are you feeling?

Amber - just wanted to give you a shout out to let you know that I''m thinking of ya...I hope you starting to feel a little better...stop by whenever you feel like it!

welcome so cal
35.gif
hope that you find this place helpful

blushing: you birthday dinner w/ DH sounded perfect! did you guys dance? I love cuban food, but haven''t found any good places in my area. perhaps, i need to try again.

Hi Ladies! CD11 here and I got the first high on my monitor, yay! Now the marathon begins!

Blushing- Do you mind sharing the name of the restaurant you went to? DH and I will be in NYC in a couple of weeks and it sounds like something we might enjoy. I''m happy to hear your temp went up...I hope it stays that way!

Robbie- Awesome pics!

Socal- Welcome!

Festy- I admire your patience!

35.gif
Hi to everyone else!

Am04 - The restaurant is called Cuba (how ironic?)
2.gif
You can go to Opentable.com and make reservations that way (which I love). You MUST go - it''s one of our favorite places (we''ve taken our families and friends there and everyone loves it) AND it''s reasonably priced for NYC. FYI...the even have someone who rolls cigars which you can buy for your hubby - he wasn''t there last night though so, maybe they just have him there on weekends. Let me know if you end up there - I''d like to hear what you think.

Here are the details:

blushing,

The nausea paired with the high temp sounds promising! When are you going to test?

ETA: Nevermind, I see you're testing tomorrow!

Oh...I forgot to mention the best part about eating at Cuba - the food is AMAZING!!!
18.gif

Yeah, I might breakdown and test tonight...we'll see how I feel. I almost did this morning, but I was a wuss! Is it odd that I'm scared too? Most of you gals on here jump at the chance and I avoid it like the plague! I'm much more comfortable just wanted for AFF to come. I'm a whacko!

Blushing, I was really scared (shaking actually) when I tested with my m/c. I wasn''t scared this time, but I think that''s more because I didn''t think there was any chance I''d actually be getting a bfp when I was testing since it was only 10dpo. If it had been later and I''d thought there was a chance I think I would''ve been shaking again.

Blushing, I''m so glad your temp went back up! You know, if you do cave in and test tonight, no one will judge you!
1.gif
I get the scared thing though. I am too. Your night out sounds great. I lived in NYC for 5 years after college and miss it a lot. I''ll make a mental note of that restaurant for our next visit.

am04, woohoo! Have fun!

Hi Ebree, what''s your story these days? I swear, a day IRL feels like 5 on this thread.

Today on my way out of the building to run some errands I got on one of the slowest, most crowded elevators ever. There were about 1,000 smells going on and I hated all of them. Worse, I wanted to kill the people that were responsible for them. Think perfume, mingled with some kind of cheesy hot foot, mingled with cigarette smoke and spearmint thrown in for good measure. Gag. The wooziness is not a PG sign for me, as I sometimes get a little nauseous on an empty stomach. Just over-sharing.

I always get scared when I test too. My heart feels like it's going to leap out of my chest. Though, I think I've grown a tougher shell since last cycle, even, because I really was convinced I was pregnant. As for this cycle, I don't know what to believe thanks to the progesterone. My gut tells me no, but my gut told me yes last time.

I am testing tomorrow, at 12 DPO. Partially because I need to discontinue the progesterone if I'm not pregnant, and partially because I want to have a drink (or two) on Halloween! I've abstained this entire cycle, and would like to celebrate a little at home, with my husband, curled up on the couch watching scary movies.

You're 12 DPO today, right? I think you should test.
31.gif
When are my other cycle buddies testing?

Blushing -- Yay for a high temp! I''m so hoping for a BFP for you! You aren''t a whacko, I am too scared to test until AFF is late which is 14 dpo for me. Glad you had a fun night for your DH''s birthday.

Festy -- Thanks for oversharing, lol

Ebree -- Keeping my fingers crossed for you tomorrow. I''m not testing until 14DPO (if my temps stay high that long) which is next Tuesday.

Ohh, tomorrow''s going to be such an exciting day around here! Someone''s going to get a bfp, I can just feel it! Good luck to all those waiting to test! (and to those waiting to O, and waiting for AFF to be over too...)

This is an exciting time to be on this thread--I can''t wait to hear about your test, Blushing!

I have a question about temping--does anyone else have low body temperature? My temperature has been 96.6 and 96.4 the past two days. (I''ve only been temping two days, so this is all the info I have.) Is this too low? I did some fishing around on the Internet and all I''ve found is that it''s lower than the normal range. Should I call my doctor? I have unusually low blood pressure, too (85 over 55, usually). Now this temping has me worried. (Sorry, I know this is off topic, but you''re the only ladies I know who take your temp often.)

Ooh, two tests tomorrow! I can hardly stand it!

I''ll test Saturday if my temps are still up. AF isn''t technically late until Sunday, but I may want to have a drinkie poo Sat. night.

Haven, I don't think it's abnormal. If you check out the charts on Fertility Friend I think you'll find lots of pre-O temps in that range. You're also temping in the morning, when your temp is at its lowest.

Yay! 2 Tests tomorrow and 1 on Saturday! I''m rooting for you girls.

Haven -- I''ve seen a ton of charts with Pre-O temps in that range. I don''t think it''s anything to worry about.

Okay, I''m going to come out of lurkdom to throw my name into the ring. I''m not temping or anything yet. I just went off BC this month, so we''re going to just ''not try'' to prevent pregnancy for a few months, and see what happens. If the 6 month mark hits with no luck, I think we''ll more actively TTC.

Good luck - I had the same plan. I went off BC in March, and was temping in June. However, I really wanted to have a warm weather baby, so I wanted to try to maximize my chances. The temping is addicting once you get started though!

I am really just a lurker - this thread moves so fast for me to keep up! I just wanted to wish everyone who is testing soon good luck! I think October is a good month

I got a BFP on Saturday 10/25 at 10 DPO. I''m still waiting for my bloodwork results (went for first beta on Tuesday, and second one today) since my last pregnancy was ectopic, so I''m nervous but hopeful that everything will be ok this time. I hope everyone else who is testing will have just as much luck!

Woo hoo Vetrik....Congrats!!!!

Haven, my body temperatures are lower than normal too (I believe Sabine''s are too). I''ve never been told that I have a problem, but if I''m still not pregnant by the time my anual rolls around in Dec., I will mention it. InLuv is right, a lot of women have low pre-O and post-O temps and still become pregnant.

littlelysser- Any news, gal? Did you test today?

Oh, vetrik, sending lots of dust your way for a sticky, non-ectopic pregnancy!

Haven, my temps are low too. My lowest was in the 95''s. I think BBT is supposed to be lower than regular temperature, but I don''t know if having lower temps has any impact on chances of conceiving...something I guess I should look into if I don''t get preggo in the next month or so. But even with my low (and often erratic) temps, I still saw a clear ovulation pattern last month.

Vetrik, congratulations!! That is wonderful news. We will be happy to count your BFP toward the 3 that Fisher is expecting when she gets back. 2 to go!

Same with me - I''ve been temping since last April (only started TTC since July) - I''ve ovulated every month and always saw a clear pattern.

Arg, I missed vetrik's post! Congratulations! Tons of sticky dust coming your way from the PS TTCers.

Congrats on the BFP, vetrik!

Hello Everyone!

I am currently in in-law overload, but wanted to check in with my ladies!

I'm CD25, 11 DPO. I noticed some tinge in my CM this morning, I'm having some cramping, my cervix is still high, and I am having a TON of watery CM...all of which happened when I got my BFP...BUT my temp dropped .3 today (still above the coverline, but still) and AFF is also proceeded by tinged CM...BUT I was stuffed up, so I *think* I slept with my mouth open, so that *might* explain my lower temperature. OR AFF is coming.

So basically, I have no idea. SIgh. I am very proud to report that I DID NOT test today...but if my temps are still high (and AFF hasn't shown) tomorrow morning, then I'll test. I got my BFP last time at 12 DPO, so who knows. Some signs point to yes, some signs point to no. So yeah. I have no clue.

CONGRATS VETRIK!! Many sticky vibes going your way!

Haven - Like inluv and Festy said, I wouldn't worry about your temps! Mine are often under 97 degrees in the mornings before I O. So I don't think it is anything to lose sleep about! Also, no worries about something being off-topic...there is NO off topic in these parts!!

BB - That restaurant sounds fabulous! How cool! And yay for no AFF and higher temps! Oh, and BB and Ebree, I'm scared to death when I test too...I get super nervous, heart pounding. Silly.

Am - Good luck catching that egg!!!

SoCalGirl - Welcome! I know that when I started TTC, DH and I figured we'd let it happen. I was temping within two months! Good luck!! And fwiw, I have really enjoyed temping. It really is like sort of being a detective of your own body. Cool stuff.

Ebree - I'm REALLY hoping that you get a BFP tomorrow and have to cuddle with your DH and drink some chamomile tea!

SO, we have Ebree, BB, and me testing tomorrow, and Festytesting on Saturday. Exciting stuffs!!!!

Alright...BFP vibes to everyone...off to spend time with my wonderful in-laws!

Thank you all! I''m trying to be optimistic - I don''t have any spotting or bleeding this time, which I was already having by this point with the ectopic. This was my first month using the CBEFM (apparently - all I had to do was spend $130 on the monitor and sticks that I hopefully won''t be needing anymore!), and this month we tried an everyday BD marathon, since every other day wasn''t working for us. It was exhausting - but worth it! I''ll attach my chart

Robbie - I loved your Halloween costume!

littlelysser - I love your jewelry - it''s so cool! I especially liked the holey ring and bracelet! I hope AF will stay away and you can test tomorrow.

Inluv101 - Your neices are so beautiful - my brother just had a baby in June, and I''m having so much fun having a nephew!
