The Official TTC Thread!

Good morning everyone,

Mandy, that totally blows that you''re having trouble sleeping in. When I first started temping my sleep patterns were definitely off, but I''ve trained myself to be less anxious about it. But you''re not temping. Maybe you''re a sypathetic temper, like husbands get sympathetic labor pains! I dunno...maybe you''re getting old.
31.gif
Nah, it''s probably a temporary thing that will go away once TTC is more routine. Wait, let''s hope that never happens and you are KTFU right now!

hi girls! i just wanted to let Mandarine know that she was being paged in the BWW section.

good luck to everyone ttc!

Thank you Festy!. Last night I told DH that it was much easier for him (the 2WW) because he wasn''t paying attention about anything different that he felt during that time. He said, "shouldn''t you just know? have an instict?". I said I don''t have it, so that probably means I''m not KU because I feel the same. Maybe a little stressed out/emotional, but that''s how the mind works!!

vv - Thanks for letting me know!. I went over to respond to the questions

Where is everyone???

So I think I''m out this cycle
14.gif

I''m on CD20 of what I think is a consistent 23-day cycle (which may actually be less). I just went to the bathroom and had some spotting (whn I wiped). I think it would be too late for this to be implantation spotting. So I think AFF is coming...in past cycles I have noticed it''s somewhat normal for me to spot the couple of days leading to AFF.

I knew it wouldn''t be *that* easy, but I guess you still let hope get the best of you....even when it''s just the first month trying.

Oh well, at least if I do get AF I can celebrate my anniversary this weekend with some nice drinks and wine
3.gif

Good luck to the other girls
9.gif

Mandarine...it has been quiet here today.

Sorry you think you''re out this cycle
15.gif
. I normally get spotting too so that is a sure fire sign for me. It is soooo hard not to hope each time.

Yay for being able to REALLY celebrate this weekend!
31.gif
Happy Anniversary to you!

Thanks InLuv!!
9.gif

It is quiet! You can almost hear the PS crickets
2.gif

Yeah, I''m looking at my calendar and last month I had spotting on CD22 -the day before I got AFF- (marked it on my calendar). So maybe that means this cycle is going to be even shorter than the last one. They keep getting shorter and shorter it seems!.
20.gif

Rats, Mandy! I guess you don''t know until AF shows up, but I think I''ll be out too. I was having some pre-AF cramps yesterday. AF isn''t due for another few days so I have all these cramps to look forward to! Maybe someone will have some good news for us today...I think a bunch of ladies are at the beginning of or mid-cycle.

Mandarine,

Girl, you never know til that dumb period comes!

Hoping the best!!
9.gif

PS-maybe you're waking up early because your body's gearing up for when you start temping! Haha. I used to wake up at like 3am, just waiting to temp. Those days are *over!!*

Hi All!
Hoping all is going well.
Nothing to report here, just pulling for all of you!
Last month my thermometer froze so I had temps in the 70s for a bit, this month I''ve had pneumonia and temps over 100, so I''m just waiting for o-day, not sure when that will show up, but hoping next month''s temps look more normal.
hugs hugs hugs hugs hugs
you all keep me smiling!

Festy, I''m still rooting for you!...and well, if AF shows up, at least you have your appointment and then will be out of here!
9.gif

Fishie, Yeah I guess I might as well temp if I''m waking up so early nyway!. It actually got better in the last two days (or maybe exhaustion caught up with me!). I think I''m going to wait a couple more cycles before I start temping. With how short they are my O range is not that long so the BD marathons are not too bad.

Does anyone know what is the shortest a normal LP can be?. I think I might need to extend my BD marathon by another day and start a day earlier (basically the day right after AF leaves). I better start taking some energy supplements!. I did buy some vitamins for DH and told im to get ready...hehe.

Swimmer, So sorry to hear you had phneumonia!. One of the managers in my team told me yesterday he was also diagnosed with phneumonia, but had no clue before hand because he just felt a little run down. Take care of that and feel better soon!!!!

Hi all my fertility expert friends...I have a question for you:
So, when is the first day I can test and get an accurate result with a test made for early detection? My last period started on Jan 24th and so if I ovulated around day 14, that would have been Feb. 7th, so it is 11 days past ovulation with these calculations. Should I wait another week? We were actually going to try to wait until next month b/c the doc said I should wait 3 months, but would be thrilled if it happened this month. I would wait until I was supposed to get my next period, but I''ve been having certain symptoms that may be pregnancy related such as going to the bathroom all the time, lower back ache, and yesterday I felt sick at dinnertime (I always got night sickness instead of morning sickness), so I''m pretty suspicious and waiting a week is going to kill me, but I will do it if you guys don''t think I will get an accurate reading yet. Thanks!

Mandarine with your cycles you should be aiming to cover from CD 6 until CD 16. The shortest healthy LP you can have is around 10 days give or take a day.

Steph Many women get BFPs at 11dpo, but a negative is not reliable at that point.

Thank you! I am so impatient. I am going to try to wait it out until the weekend. If I haven''t started by that point, I will go buy one of those multi-pack test and give it a try. Thanks!!

Good luck, Steph!!! I''m keeping all my fingers crossed for you

Mandarine and Festy, phooeyy on the pre-AF cramps, I hope it''s not AF though!!! Hoping the best for you guys.

CD5 for me. So I was thinking about how I was sick back on O day last cycle. I realized, I was taking decongestant (the drying up kind) while EWCF should have been showing!! Oops :) I might try mucinex this month to encourage it.

Just wanted to pop in to say good luck to Steph! It sounds like your gut is pretty reliable! For that reason, I might wait a couple of days to test so you know it'll be more reliable. Can't wait for some good news!

DD - Anxiously watching the preggo thread for updates from you!
35.gif
Best of luck to you and fingers crossed for more good news on the induction front.

Thanks Sunkist!

Good luck Steph!!!...I would also wait, just to get a more reliable response. Keep us posted!!!

DD - Thank you! That''s a lot of BDing but you gotta do what you gotta do, right!?. I am thinking maybe doing everyday for the first 6 days or so and then doing every otehr day for the remaiming 4. I too have been watching the pregnant thread and hoping the best for you!!!!!! Your belly is so cute!!!

Sunkist - Thank you!. I''m still feeling like AF is coming and was actually surprised it didn''t come today, just because of how crampy I felt and because of the spoting!, but we will see I guess!

Thanks for the good luck wishes guys. Hubby and I are going to test on Saturday morning if I haven''t gotten AF yet. I have been so sick all afternoon. If it''s not pregnancy, I think I am coming down with something. This is all very exciting, but I am really nervous too. If I am pregnant, I obviously don''t have any issues getting pregnant, it is the staying pregnant part that is an issue and I know I will be a nervous wreck for 9 months straight. Anyway, I will keep you guys updated. Anybody else testing soon? Good luck to everyone on this cycle!

Steph, unless you have had at least two miscarriages in addition to the one recently, staying pregnant is not an "issue" for you! I know it is hard not to worry, but having one m/c is just so so common and it is not at all predictive of your ability to stay pregnant. Most m/c in the first trimester are totally random and result from some sort of genetic issue with the developing baby
15.gif
So when it happens for you again, try to keep that in mind!

Thanks! If you are going to choose a time for every day I''d do CD 6, 8 then 10 to to 14 then 16 rather than putting the every day at the start. Most likely you ovulate around CD 13 if you cycles are around 23 days and you have a 10 day LP...

And thanks for the well wishes! You too festy! I''ll have more news on friday, but I am hoping for labor to start naturally by then. Anyone wanting to send Labour dust I am accepting it!

Thanks, girl! I know what you''re saying is true, but I''m such a worrier. I am just gonna have to work on that though because it won''t help anybody or anything to worry all the time

I hear that! Everything about pregnancy--getting pregnant, being pegnant, having baby--it is all so anxiety provoking! It doesn''t matter who you are, that''s for sure. Something is always going on and we have no control over any of it!

DD - labor by Friday?! oh how exciting
36.gif
I hope you do go into labor by then! I can''t wait to see Baby DD. So it looks like your waiting for a March delivery isn''t going to happen, huh? But it seems like you''re a lot more ready for this than you thought you were a while back.
1.gif
That''s awesome. Tons of healthy baby/delivery dust for you, my dear!

I may not have a choice in the matter about waiting, since our baby is supposedly going to be over 9lbs at term (saturday!)... I am hoping to go into labour so I won''t be induced. But yup, I feel more ready. Nature makes you so uncomfortable at the end that you are ready no matter how nervous you feel!

9 lbs!! That''s going to be one CUTE baby!!!!!!!!!!!! Best wishes for you DD and I''m also sending you labor dust!!!!!!

****

I am very confused and maybe I''m not "out" this cycle. I go back and forth. Yesterday I only had spotting (very light) in the am...then nothing. Then last night I had CM (but clear). This morning I was VERY tempted to test, but chickened out at the end because I told myself I would be wasting it (and I don''t have any cheapo ones..not sure where to get them!). So in any case, this morning it was very slippery and clear when I wiped (sorry TMI). I don''t remember this being normal for me before AF...and if it is I guess I just never paid attention.

So who knows! Should I test tomorrow or just wait until AF is suppossed to be here on Saturday?

Thanks girls!!
5.gif

DD - tons of labor dust to you! I think you should bake cookies and DTD all day today. Actually, I think we should all do that!

Mandy - hmm, well gosh. How long have you been off the pill again? Either you''re preggers or this is just your body doing things you''re not used to to gear up for AF. Not the answer your were hoping for, huh? I keep thinking today is Friday.
15.gif
If AF is due Saturday you could probably test tomorrow. But I say wait.

12 DPO and nothing very exciting going on in my world.

Thanks Festy!. My first cycle off the pill was in November...with my cycles being so short I think this is cycle #4 or #5 off the pill.

Yeah who the heck knows...I better not waste any tests and just wait. I still feel like AF is coming. I wish today was Friday!!! This week was been insanely slow....even at work. I guess I worked Monday too so maybe it just feels like it was longer than it should have been!
