The Official TTC Thread!

Hey everyone! Hubby and I had a great time at Disneyland yesterday, my head is still all stuffed up because of that cold, but at least my fever is gone! Although we managed to DTD once in the midst of my ovulation, I''m not putting much thought into it.
1.gif
For some reason, I''m totally okay with that. We were both miserable for a few days, and I''m just happy to be feeling better!

Good luck to everyone else, so far I''m on day two of the high temps, I''m just glad to see things seem to be working okay in my body. I was so worried it wasn''t going to work out, since nothing else seems to pan out usually. Yesterday was great and now I''m just so exhausted! I must say I don''t want to be at work.

BB, my temps are pretty low, too. For my 2nd high temp after ovulation, it was 97.46, all week it was in the early 97s, 97.06, 97.16... Don''t worry!

Ebree - dying to know if you POAS? I''ve peed on 3 today BFN (I know way to early but I get a strange thrill out of it).

BB - Thanks for the positive vibes. Have you seen a RE (for the luteal phase potential issue?) sorry if u already answered that one.

If we don''t get pregnant this cycle then we may try IUI w/ injectibles next round. Whoa, that would be this week!
Hi Lisa - what do you mean by RE? I haven''t had my morning coffee yet so, I apologize!

Hi Blushing, Reproductive Endocrinologist - specialist in all things fertility and hormonal.

Pretty sure thay do a timed blood test to check this out. I thought I had a luteal defect too since cycles have notoriously been short 22-26 days.
RE said no. There were other factors he took into consideration plus the Ultrasound and Hx.

Hope that cleared it up.

Thanks! Actually, I haven't seen a RE. I was planning to see how the rest of this cycle pans out and then contact my gyno for next steps in determining if I have LPD or not. I'm assuming your gyno can refer an RE if necessary. I had a sonogram two weeks ago (to check for endometriosis) which came back normal so, I'm not sure if I would need an ultrasound as well. So much to consider....

EBree, I''ve been thinking about you. Have you taken a test yet? I really hope you get your BFP soon!

I need your extensive knowledge and expertise, ladies.

I went off the nuva ring in January. Been every 21 days since then. This month, we stopped using protection. Now it''s day 29. No bleeding. But I did have two days of this (WARNING WARNING WARNING TMI APPROACHING!) gooey brown spotting. I''ve had that before, but usually it turns into AF ASAP. But now? Nothing.

So I thought "implantation bleeding?"

And so I went to get a test from the drugstore. Negative.

At day 29, that should be pretty accurate, right? So where''s AF?!

So. Confused.

I was just looking at everyone''s furbabies again and realized I never posted a pic of mine! This is Pepper. He just had his 2 year birthday and enjoyed a doggy treat of ice cream that smelled like peanut butter!

Still crossing my fingers for everyone''s BFP. It feels like everyone is just holding their breath over here!

IG, it may be implantation bleeding or maybe your cycles are a bit off trying to adjust to no BC. Do you know when you ovulated? I had 30 day cycles and didn''t get a BFP till day 34 (16 DPO). Although I didn''t test earlier. I waited until I was a few days later. It AF doesn''t come in another week or so, I''d take another test. Good luck!

IG, cycles can be totally irregular for awhile after going off of any type of hormonal contraceptive. Totally normal.

Haha, welcome to the wonderful world of discharge. When do you think you ovulated? If it was CD-19 or 20, then you are only 9 or 10 DPO, so that would be about right for implantation. Even if you ovulated at CD-15, you are only 14 DPO, which is still early for some women to get a BFP, apparently. Only time will tell, but it maaaay be implantation yuckiness! When I thought I was having it last cycle, after one day it turned into regular AF, so if it stopped then that seems like a good sign.

On the other hand, I read on feritlity friend that it can take 12 months for periods to become regular after ending hormonal contraception if you are over 30
23.gif
So this could just be a wonky cycle. The wonkiness apparently doens''t influence fertility except that it makes timing intercourse difficult, because you never know when you will ovulate.

Check out the chart gallery on FF and look at the ones where they got preggers. You''ll notice lots of one''s where people got a big fat negative at 15 DPO and then didn''t get the BFP until like 18 DPO!

Only time will tell, fingers crossed

Sunkist, he is sooo cute! I love dogs!! What kind is he? He looks like he has spaniel in him...

It''s funny because before today, I thought I was all ''Whatev. Whenev." about this. But I was REALLY EXCITED about that pregnancy test, and bummed when the line didn''t showup.

Man, those tests are damn expensive too.
33.gif

How much do you want to bet that they only cost, like, 5 cents to manufacture.

Anyway, I''ll test again in a few days if AF still doesn''t show up.

IG, those brand name pregnancy tests are expensive and can add up! Do you have a dollar store nearby? If you do, pick up some tests for a dollar each. They work great and look just like the ones my doctor''s office uses.

Yeah I stocked up on like 10! The lady thought I was crazy, but no way am I paying full price. I can''t believe how much the gauge you!

Then you can test whenever you want and make yourself even more crazy.

WHERE ARE YOU????

Thinking of you.

I'm here, I'm here! You're all so sweet to think of me. I did POAS, on Mother's Day, and got a BFP! I can't tell you how nervous I am, though. If you all wouldn't mind, would you pray/think good thoughts for this to be a sticky bean? I feel awful so far, which is a good sign, but there's always that shadow of a doubt. I need that oh-so-powerful PS dust!

We haven't told anyone yet and don't plan to until we're out of the woods (at least 12w), especially due to family drama on my side, but I don't mind telling you ladies.

Ladies, I think that I may start posting here more regularly.

DH and I have July as our month of TTC and I just made an appointment to see my gyn for the middle of june. I was due to go anyway, so I figure it''ll be a pre-TTC check up and hopefully it all checks out
2.gif
.

I have been charting for a while, but not temping. So far my cycles have been pretty variable. I''ve had a 22, 24, 25 and two 27 day cycles and seem to notice CM anywhere from 5 to 8 days after AF ends...I honestly don''t quite know what to make of it all.

Question, since you ladies all know so much - In the textbook scenario, does CM occur as you ovulate or right before you ovulate? In other words, by the time I notice CM, would I have already ovulated?

Dani, Pandora, lover in athens, Amber, and lulu,

Thank you all so much!

Ebree I knew it when you didn''t show up! Good news, and sticky vibes coming your way!

Lulu, my CM tends to show up the day before and then the days of. So far (knock on wood), I''m a pretty regular cycler, with ovulation seeming to appear when the many ovulation calculators tell me it should, so that''s good to know. I hope all goes well on your pre-conception appointment! Welcome to the thread full-time! This place is so amazing.

I had a dream I found out I was pregnant. It was pretty funny as I found out at Disneyland? Weird.

YAY EBREE!!!!!!
