The Official TTC Thread!

Re: The Official TTC Thread!

Thanks Laila:-)

I'm thinking about getting the HCG done in the next few months if we're still not pregnant. We're also thinking seriously about adoption, so we're trying to figure out which we want to pursue at this point since I am not really willing/ready to go down the road of invasive treatment...

DC is thinking about the HSG as well I think.

Maybe we'll do it virtually together ;)) We can hold hands online or something:-)

Re: The Official TTC Thread!

Hellooooo

Well I've kinda been keeping my head down and trying not to get too obsessed with ttc for a while so I've been lurking but not posting. It seems to be working as I'm a lot more relaxed. Nothing to report other than I'm cd21 today and its a pretty uneventful cycle.

Seems like everyone and their aunty is pg just now but I'm not focusing on that. I've kicked my weightloss into touch again and have been going to Zumba twice a week - love it and getting my wiifit in as often as I can, I'm now down 49lbs and feel great.

We're off to Paris for our romantic weekend at the end of the month so I'm hoping that the change of scenery is the answer to our prayers.

I will pop by when I have more time as I'm rushing out but I just wanted to say hey to everyone and hope you're all fine and dandy.

Po

Re: The Official TTC Thread!

YEA! I POAS this morning and it looked like a very faint line... so this afternoon I POAS again, and there is definitely a second line this time too! I am so excited!
Hopefully it is not a chemical pregnancy and it will stick ( I have had 2 miscarriages before)

I will test again in a few days and hopefully that line will be nice and dark! when I find my camera I will share a pic of the HPT!

I we all get more BFP very soon....

Oh and I too hate it when people tell me to relax... I dont relax!!!!!

Re: The Official TTC Thread!

Sorry to butt in but I just wanted to send you DC and all you other ladies a big ole hug. I can't even begin to imagine what it must be like. It breaks my heart daily when I see a good friend of mine struggle month after month. It worries me because she almost seems like she is starting to give up after 3 years of unexplained infertility. It seems that everyone at work is announcing their pregnancy, just at lunch the other day another coworked announced that she is expecting a girl. I saw my friends heart just sink. She explained to me that she is just too tired to even get her hopes up anymore. I pray for her and I pray that all you ladies have your babies soon.

Re: The Official TTC Thread!

Super quick post (I am away from a computer and using my blackberry which is a HUGE pain) to say that I am CD2!!! I am so incredibly excited to have a CD at this point I had to share with ladies who wouldn't think I am crazy to be psyched about hanging out with AF.

Re: The Official TTC Thread!

DC, BIG (((((hugs)))))).

I hope nothing I've said has offended you, but I completely understand where you're coming from. I keep feeling like I was blessed with amazingly unchallenged beginner's luck, but that my ectopic was somehow caused by something I did, and now that I only have one whole set of reproductive organs, I know that I will be a more vocal participant here because I have received so much more support in this thread/forum than I ever thought I would. I just want to pay it forward, and I hope some of our more long term TTCers see BFPs and sticky beans very soon.

PO - Good to see you around! Congrats on the weight loss and your upcoming vacation in Paris! Lots of dust to you, dear!!!

Marquiseluv - Big dust going out to you that the line just keeps getting darker and darker!

KTF - Congrats on CD2!!!!!!!!! :appl:

Re: The Official TTC Thread!

DC thanks for sharing your thoughts. I hope I haven't said anything to hurt your feelings. You are a huge supporter of others on this forum and esp this thread. I appreciate your honesty and reminder to us newbies to tread lightly on this unpredictable TTC journey.

KTF- congrats on the arrival of AF!

Marquis- wow, congrats on what seems to be a BFP getting darker by the day!

Re: The Official TTC Thread!

iwanna--I was in the exact same "hunt" for an ob/gyn a few weeks ago. I wasn't sure what I should focus on--one very close to her affiliated hospital? Or at the hospital? One closer to my house but farther from the hospital? One in a very small practice or more medium-sized? One that was recommended by my orthopedic surgeon? Should I look strictly at reviews? It was sort of a hilarious process and by the time I chose one I felt exhausted. Needless to say, I wish you lots of luck on your hunt!

Laila--thanks so much for that info! I'm definitely going to have bloodwork done to check for Rubella during my pre-TTC appt. in October. I don't think we'll start TTC until at least November, so I'll have time to get the results before we really begin to TTC.

LTP--I was afraid I wouldn't recognize the EWCM because I know many women have come onto the board wondering how to identify it. I've heard that women can be very fertile the first month after BC, so maybe that was part of it. You have no idea how much I'm cheering you on--I'm so glad to see you back on the board and am hoping your stay will be very quick!

DD--Okay, I'm a total dork but it's sort of surreal for me to actually be talking with you on this thread because I'm not kidding when I tell you that AT LEAST half of everything I learned about TTC/charts/cycles is from you. You have been so helpful you cannot imagine. I'm over the moon that you're going to start TTC#2 soon!!

dcgator--just want to give you all of the support I can! I had a very close friend of mine go through multiple rounds of IUIs and then finally IVF (she did get pregnant) and I know how completely emotionally draining it can be. We are all cheering you on and I know that one day you will get your good news.

Po--I'm so excited to hear that you're going to Paris this month!! You are going to have an amazing time!!

Marquiselove---Eeeee!!! Very exciting!! Sending lots of sticky dust to you!

KTF--YAY for AF! When she knocks on my door I'm going to say "I have this friend who loves you, why don't you leave me alone and spend more time with her" ;))

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Nothing to report here since I'm mostly going to lurk for another month or two while I figure out my cycle and cheer on other TTCers. I am eager to get to CD1 so I can start charting and then have a better understanding of my cycle. My husband and I are on a vacation right now and are spending a lot of time in the car. This means he's trapped with my semi-crazy baby brain. A direct quote from today was "Woman?! Have you gone completely baby crazy this month?!" Seriously, it's like a switch went off...I really need to start reining it in or I'm going to drive myself nuts before we even really try.

Re: The Official TTC Thread!

Po - hey there lady! hoping that your turn is just around the corner.

Marquiseluv - fingers crossed for you that this one will stick.

- - -

by the way, I read somewhere there is no scientific correlation between "relaxing" and getting pregnant. once pregnant, yes, you should try to keep stress levels low, but not required for TTC.

Re: The Official TTC Thread!

DC - Big hugs to you! I'm sorry if I said anything that came off as insensitive to the TTC group. I know that for many this is a long term struggle and it is emotional. I actually have a friend whose husband is now sterile from testicular cancer. They were fortunate enough to be able to freeze some swimmies, but I know that daily she is facing the sadness of knowing they can't make a little miracle without help, and that is gut wrenching for her. Just know all of us lurkers are rooting for you guys every single day.

I'm afraid I'm going to have to start tracing my cycle all over, as this past week has been really strange for me. At 7dpo I woke up to a little spot, which soon went away. Yesterrday I had a bit more, and today a tiny bit of what seems to be light flow. I am now wondering if my cycle is transitioning? I am not due for aunt flo until the 11th, and here I am with cramps and bloating and aunt flo like spotting, though not full on bleeding yet, but I'm going to be very grumpy if I start a week early. Humph.

Re: The Official TTC Thread!

Hey Ladies,

I hope you all are enjoying your Labor day sans work (for those of you in the US). Let me first say that I don't think anyone intentially said anything to hurt feelings, nor did I feel any personal attacks, so no need for anyone to apologize. I was merely putting out a friendly reminder about keeping a bit of sensitivity to the wide range of situations we have on here. That being said, I don't want to dampen anyone's spirits or excitement. I remember first coming on here and the pure excited/anxiousness feelings I had about starting the TTC process. We are a group of people who are constantly rotating in and out, and we rely on the newbies just as much as you all gain insight from some of us veterans. So please don't let my rantings scare you off, b/c we all our one big family here, through the good and bad times ;))

Lili - Thanks for the love. Yeah, I am seriously considering doing the HSG. I have also heard about the uber fertile phenomenon post HSG. However, we will see how the scheduling goes. How about you, still hanging in there? I hope you have some good news soon!

Bella - I so hear you hun. I am a fan of the pineapple and pre-seed combo myself  . I detest the no caffine, no coffee, no alcohol thing, but I am about to embark on it for another month. I have also moved to the hot green tea every day too, though I might opt for the fertile tea soon. I love my friends too, but they just don't get it most times. I tell ya, I can handle about 90% of each cycle, but those last 2-3 days till AF comes are just heartbreakers. I will let you know about the HSG, but I am trying to decide if I want to wait for the RE first. But, if we both opt for it, we will totally hold virtual hands, b/c I know I would totally appreciate a battle buddy. I really hope that for the both of us, we do get KU sooner rather than later. And maybe if we are lucky, it will happen for us at the same time :D . Good luck to you this cycle!

Po - I didn't know you had lost so much weight, good for you hun! You should be super proud of yourself  Have a lovely time in Paris and be sure to come back and let us know how it went when you get back!

Allie - Thanks for your thoughs and prayers. I am also praying for your friend. I may be frustrated now, but I don't think I could handle 3 years like this. May she be blessed with a child soon or at least find another way to have a LO of her own. Poor thing.

KTF - YEAH FOF AF coming back! I am so excited to hear that your body is back on track. I'm sure its a relief for you and to know that you can back to normal with your DH. Good luck.

LTP - Oh hunny, don't ever think anything you did caused your ectopic. I'm 100% positive that you didn't do a thing to "cause" it, it just happened. And hopefully since you got knocked up your first time out, now it will only take 2 months =) But, no matter how long it takes you, we will be here for you to both comfort and cheer you on. Big hug sweetie.

Modern - Not to worry dear, you did/said nothing wrong. And don't feel like you can't say what's on your mind, b/c clearly I have no problem doing that, lol  Btw, how was the wedding this weekend? Did AF show up yet or do you think you might get an extended break?

NEL - Thanks for the well wishes. Don't worry about the baby brain, your DH will get used to it, and maybe even got baby on his brain too, lol. I hope that your new cycle starts too, so you can get started with your tracking. Enjoy your vaca in the meantime. Btw, where are you guys off too?

Noel - Thanks for chiming in. I think people just want to be helpful, so they say something, but they just don't understand how condescending that can be. I do lurk in the preggo thread and must say you look great lady! Your little girl will be here before you know it. :saint:

Dragonfly - No need to apologize, you didn't say anything wrong. As far as your cycle is concerned though, you may want to check out "implantation spotting". Not to scare you, but it sounds like you might be having some of that. Not everyone experiences it, but some people have spotting between 7-10DPO when the fertilized egg implants. That being said, it could just be a screwy cycle. I guess you will know it a couple days, right? Good luck either way and let us know how it rolls out.

*****
AFM, I started spotting yesterday and AF came with a vegence today. And so begins another cycle...I am hoping that I can fanagle my way into the RE sooner than the end of the month, but if not, I may opt for an HSG next week. We shall see though. In any event, here goes nothing.

Good luck to the rest of you ladies still in the 2WW and to those of you who are just embarking on your new cycles.

Re: The Official TTC Thread!

DC - I did worry about that at first, and should the flow stop I would again, but it seems to be getting a bit stronger as of tonight. I wouldn't be surprised by an off cycle since we moved and I've been so stressed the past month and a half.

Re: The Official TTC Thread!

Bella I think you need to perfect the "screw you" face and gesture when people give you that so-called advice ;)) What day in your cyle do you ovilate? I also encourage you to read back in winter/spring of 2008 when Amberwaves was posting a lot. Sounds like there are a lot of similarities between your TTC journey and hers, perhaps some of the same stumbling blocks, and as you probably know she has a lovely daughter now 8)

Lauren I missed that you had an ectopic! I am so sorry girl, and sorry that you lost one of your tubes :blackeye: One thing that TTC and pregnancy and motherhood has taught me -- an overachieving maybe a little controlling woman ;)) -- is that so much in life is utterly and completely out of our control. It is so hard to learn that lesson through trial and painful error through this process of procreation, but it is a good lesson to learn no matter what. Hugs to you going forward.

NEL haha... glad to help m'dear! I did learn a lot my first time TTC and am glad to pass it along. I think the first go around TTC is fraught with worry for many women, becaus *all* of us, not matter whether warranted or not, worry that we will not be able to conceive. And knowledge, at least for me, helped to quell that worry a little bit. This time I am not as worries, because I know that we are fertile, and we have a child already, some of the pressure it off. Though secondary infertility is incredibly common, and I know it can happen to us, somehow I feel more zen this time. We will see how I feel once we actively TTC though 8)

IWPO - I came back real quick to let you know I upgraded to the P Tracker Deluxe and it is AWESOME! It has temp charts, added symptoms to track, added calendar features, a way to chart weight and more time features. Def worth the 1.99 I think.

***runs off to look...****

I downloaded the one from Fertility Friend....does the one youhave sync to FF too?

Re: The Official TTC Thread!

Ok, progress.

Made an appointment with a OB/GYN with a great hospital affliation in Ft. Worth- so October 12 here we come! Going to look in to pre-natals this week. :wink2:

It is still going to be a little while before we are seriously "trying", but no harm in practicing right? :naughty: We went to a holiday BBQ this weekend and ofcourse everyone there has little ones. DH lent down and whispered in my ear, maybe we oughta have a couple

Good luck to everyone, whether trying, planning or waiting!

Re: The Official TTC Thread!

IWPO - I'll have to look to see if it syncs. I wouldn't be surprised since it shares many of the general features.

Re: The Official TTC Thread!

NEL, welcome to the TTC tread, I'm so glad to hear that you were able to O in your first month after being on BC. I'm sure this is going to make easier this journey and when you are ready to TTC everything is going to go very well.

Cupcake, how are you doing?

Modern, I'm sorry the heard about the chart, sometimes it's so hard to read it. I hope you O on the 19 and if not I'm here wishing the next month to be a better one for you.

IWPO, Welcome to the TTC wagon :wavey:

Lauren, I'm glad you are recovering, and I hope your hormones get back to normal soon. Hormones can be a PITA

KTF, I'm happy that AF is back, :appl: that means you are going to be able to get busy soon :naughty:

dcgator, I'm sorry you are feeling down. I was totally hoping this will be the month for you. I totally admire you, and how you are always here to support us. I hope one day I can return you a tiny bit of all the good things you do for us. ((HUGS)). We are always here to listen and cheer us up.

Po, Good luck in Paris, I'm sure you are going to be very busy :naughty: have fun and enjoy as much as you can you weekend.

Marquese :appl: :appl: :appl: that's an amazing new. Congratulations to you and your DH.

lili, bella, and all the ladies TTC good luck.

steal, wehere are you??? We miss your tons.

Me, I'm CD33, I normally have 35 days cycles so I'm not past due yet. I did test today and of course it was negative. Now I'm just waiting for AF to come and visit and hopefully next month will be better for my DH and myself.

Past week I was feeling a bit down since I did not get the smiley face in the OPKs, but I'm here getting my batteries charge for what is coming. With a new box of OPKs, my BB thermometer, and with tons of vitamin C and soy beans :D :lickout: :D . So here we go, I will get busy no matter if a get or not a smiley face :naughty:

Re: The Official TTC Thread!

hi ladies:
as i've said before, i'm a bonafide lurker over here, but i've got a question.
the skinny:
dh and i have said we'd like to start ttc around dec/jan. i started a new job a few weeks ago, he starts a new job next week. so in order to get some vaca time + mat leave, i need to be at the company for a year. we are moving to a "new to me" city (his hometown...a big city)- so selling a house and buying a new one have to happen before any baby making.
the scoop:
i've bounced on and off hbc this year. i went off the pill a few months before we were to start "trying"- and that's when i had my m/c. i'm jaded now, and don't know when to come off the pill. i obviously started ovulating right away after coming off the pill, but who knows what will happen this time.
the question:
i'm due to refill my pills. should i refill, or go ahead and take the next 3 months off so that i'm "roaring and ready" in 3 months? i plan on charting/temping once i come off, do you all think i really can use that to chart to avoid? if it helps- DH and i will be living in different cities for a bit of time still, so not much :naughty: is gonna be happening anyways...

just looking for some support to come off the pill, i guess.

Re: The Official TTC Thread!

DCgator... so bummed that AF showed up. I've been out of town but checking in on you hoping for good news. Big hugs lady.

Marquise - congrats on your second line!! :appl:

No real update... BFN on 10dpiui but I know it could be early. Not feeling preggers, but I'll know for sure in a few days.

I'll be back soon to write back to everyone. Good luck ladies... thinking of you.

Re: The Official TTC Thread!

:wavey: Ryan-Hope that you have good news soon!

Charbie-WOW! That is a ton of changes. My body and HBC are NOT friends, so I don't have good advice  It sounds like you might want to refill it once though to get over all these new changes!

Dreamer-I went back and read some of Amberwaves TTC posts and yeah, I can totally relate. Our "Sensative" DHs are awesome, but it can definitely complicate things in the BDing department. We'll see how tonight goes... :naughty:

Re: The Official TTC Thread!

Ryan Claire - Keeping my fingers crossed for you this cycle!

DCGator - Thanks for always making me feel a part of this board, even though I post rather infrequently.

AFM, I had a temp drop today and some spotting, so I'm expecting AF tomorrow. While I'm not looking terribly forward to my 3rd round of clomid & back to back IUI's, part of me is just the tiniest bit relieved. If I had gotten pregnant, I would have been due within a few days of my baby sister's wedding next year. Not only am I in the wedding, I'm also supposed to be doing all the personal flowers (bouquets, bouts, and corsages), so the timing would have been, well, really, really inconvenient.

Re: The Official TTC Thread!

charbie I would go off the pill in your shoes woman! I never felt 100% ready and there comes a point where you have to just throw caution to the wind and start taking steps. This seems like time to start stepping!

Bella Slow and steady wins the race as they say ;))

Re: The Official TTC Thread!

Gaby--good luck with your cycles and your batteries and BBTs...you seem to have it all under control. I agree with the BDing regardless of the smiley, it can't hurt right?

DC--big hug to you, I hope I haven't offended you in anyway.

KTF--glad to hear AF is back and the cycle is rolling.

Marquise-- :appl: Congrats! I hope your line get darker and you have a sticky little bean.

PO-- how lucky are you going to Paris! I had a great time there and hope you do too

Modern--good luck with the charting, I don't know much about it but just wanted to wish you the best of luck.

NEL and IWPO--welcome aboard :wavey:

Charbie--I went off the pill way in advance since I figured it takes an average of 6 months to bounce back after being on the pill for so long. Not sure what most of the ladies did here though.

Ryan--good luck! Fingers crossed

I just wanted to drop in and say hi and good luck to everyone. I hope you all had a great and relaxing Labor Day weekend. I'm doing well, getting ready to go to Vegas with my girlfriends for a bachelorette party. Been really battling the m/s and nothing is helping but that's ok. Other than that, we have our appt on Monday to check everything out. Hope the gummy is ok.

Re: The Official TTC Thread!

DC - officially worried again. :errrr:

Re: The Official TTC Thread!

dcgator--thinking of you lots! DH and I are in Great Britain. Right now we're in Scotland and loving it.

DD--I think I'm feeling similarly to how you felt when you were TTC #1. Several of my friends have had unexplained fertility, which has been very frustrating and emotionally draining for them. I don't know, it just seems like when you are young, you're filled with fear that you'll have a baby unless you use 8 forms of birth control. Then when it comes time to actually having one, it's not as easy as you thought it would be, you know? After seeing how frustrating the whole process can be for my friends, I realized I'd rather go off the pill a little early and monitor my cycle just to make sure everything is happeing the way it should.

iwanna--Yay for some progress! I think we are in the exact same boat--my TTC appt. is also in October and we probably won't try for a few more months. It just depends on a few things (namely if I decide to stay at my current job or get a new one). I'm really excited for you, let us know how your appt. goes!

Gaby--thanks for the welcome! I like the plan to get busy no matter what :naughty: but I'm keeping my fingers crossed for you this cycle!

Charbie--just jumping in to encourage going off the pill :) Namely, because I'm doing the same thing :)

Marquise--just checking in, how are you doing?

Okay, so it's CD1 for me. I just have to say, one of the reasons I decided to go off the pill before TTC was because my cycles pre-pill were unpredictable and just generally wonky. I was expecting the same when I went off the pill, but to my pleasant surprise my first non-pill cycle was pretty text book. I didn't chart, but did use the OPK strips and ovulated around CD 15 or so and my cycle was around 30 days. I'll take it!! I'm going to start charting in the morning, but since i'm travelling I'm not sure how accurate it will be. If I have another text book cycle, I'll be very happy!

Re: The Official TTC Thread!

dcgator said:
Warning, PSA ahead, (stop reading if you get offended easily)... I know I am probably in a hyper-sensitive state right now given my continued disappointment, but I am going to mention this anyway, since I am sure I am not the only lady who has ever felt this way or will feel this way in the future. Could I ask that we all try to temper our comments a bit. I am all for supporting each other and giving hints or tricks you might use when ladies are seeking advice, but please try to restrain from generalizations that trivialize the struggles that some of us endure on this painstaking TTC journey. It is clearly not as easy as just BD'ing at fertile times or even "relaxing" (my least favorite advice in the world) for some of us to get KU. In some cases it takes meds, and/or complicated, expensive, and emotional procedures to get or stay KU.

PSA over. Please take my comments with a grain of salt. If I had put anyone off, I am sorry to offend. I just wanted to remind some of the newbies and returning ladies that a few of us have been here quite a while and this is a VERY emoitional journey for us. Thanks for your consideration.

DGC I just saw this comment when I noticed you and others talking about it later on. I assume it is partly directed at me. We don't know each other at all, and I am not following everyone's journey's on here, but I am sorry if you felt my comments were cavalere. I think if you knew me better you would know I did not intend any harm.

To elaborate, my first set of comments that concerned my advice to be selfish (or perhaps what seemed to be advice to "relax", which is not actually what I meant at all) were directed at NEL, and I stand by them for any woman who is just starting her TTC journey. I frimly believe when you first start TTC you should not go looking for worries. In fact, I think it is a good way of approaching any new task in life. And I do think before you TTC you should be selfish and have fun because when you have your kid all those times end. That comment applies to everyone, no matter the TTC journey.

Believe it or not, I have been trying to be sensitive in my posts. But in the end, when it comes to topics like this, it is hard not to offend someone, some time. I am sorry that it was you who got offended this time. I promise to offend someone else next time 8) But really, this thread will be much less fun for all of us if we can't talk about ALL of our TTC experiences, no?

Good luck to you lady, I wish you all the best.

Re: The Official TTC Thread!

IWPO: hope you are having fun practicing! I ended up getting pre-natals by the company "nature's made" b/c they have DHA which is supposed to be good for early brain and eye development. Not sure where you are, but I got a bottle at Costco since I figured I would need a few ;)

Gaby: what type of OPK's are you using? I have just been using the cheapie wondfo tests, and trying to see my the darker 2nd line which has turned into a bit of a mind game. I thought CD 19 I ovulated, but FF took it away due to some wacky temps so I guess I shall see how next month goes. Good luck this month. If AF comes for me soon, we might be on similar schedules and we can motivate each other, smiley face or not!

Charbie: Sounds like you and your hubby have a good plan. If it were me, I would stay off the pill to make sure your body is ready when you are ready and you could use condoms during the times you and DH are in the same city to try to avoid an early surprise.

Ryan: Just wanted to say I am thinking good thoughts for you. I hope you get some good news in the next few days

Parrot: What a nice thing you will be doing for your sister's wedding!

Cupcake: Hope you are feeling better. I have heard that ginger tea and candies (like chews and hard candies) can be helpful for the m/s. Hopefully it won't hinder your fun in Vegas!

DC: The wedding was fabulous! Lots of catching up with old friends and fun dancing. I am such a sucker for a good wedding! They are so special, and DH and I were saying we will be sad when all of our friends are married b/c we will miss the celebrations!

AFM: I got a BFN this morning on CD 31, and started spotting a few hours later. Having some cramps now, which means AF should be coming soon. I am hoping with a new cycle I can pinpoint the O a bit better! Working crazy hours at work definately makes charting difficult, so I am thinking I am going to have to start using the OPKs a bit more.

Re: The Official TTC Thread!

Hey ladies,

Yeah for short weeks, since its almost Friday already. Anybody have plans for the weekend? All I can say is thank goodness its football season, because I have so much to look forward to each weekend now

Dragonfly - What's the word, have you taken any tests yet?

IWPO - Very exciting about the Dr.'s appt. The appointment was kinda of that first "official" step into TTC land, so very cool. And how sweet of your DH to be on board with it all. Good luck with finding the right prenatals. Some can be a bit harsh on the tummy, so don't be afraid to try a few out. Also, depending on how big your OB's office is, they might have samples, so you can try a few for free, woohoo!

Gaby - Thanks for the love hun, right back at ya. As for this month, I hear you on the disappointing front, but it sounds like you have all the right tools and plans to make it work next month. Good luck!

Charbie - Nice to see you back here again. It sounds like you and DH are all aboard on the baby bus again :wink2: I would say that as long as you have the green light from the Doc, go ahead and stay off the the pill. You should know enough about how your body works now to avoid getting KU before you are ready, plus the distance will help out too, I'm sure. Good luck with whatever you decide and welcome back :wavey:

Ryan Claire - Hello my dear. Sorry to hear about the early BFN, but like you said, it is still pretty early. I will keep all my available digits crossed for you sweetie, so please do come back and let us know what happens.

Parrot - I am happy to have you here, even if it's not as often as other people. The more the merrier, right? I'm sorry about the BFN, but like you said, maybe it is all for the best. i wish you loads of luck this cycle and hope the third time is indeed a charm ;)

Cupcake - No offense taken, no worries. Sorry to hear about the m/s, but like they say, that just means your little bean is growing super strong. Hopefully the doc can give you some meds (zofran I think) to keep the m/s at bay. Have a great time this weekend and let us know how the doc visit goes on Monday.

NEL - That trip sounds fabulous. I hope you and DH enjoy it! I also hope your cycles keep normal in the coming months.

Dreamer - No worries about offending and I hope you didn't take it as any attack or anything. Indeed we have not had the pleasure of meeting, and I am sorry that it happened like this, but hopefully you will think me not a cranky, meany person. I am rather cheerful about 90% of the time actually, but I guess you just caught me at the end of a couple bad days. I sincerely don't think you meant any harm in your comments and I would tend to agree that starting out TTC should be as worry free as possible, b/c as many of us know, there are plenty worries to be had as the process drags on  . But, unfortunately, I think that when I got on PS that day, I was just not in a happy place and certain comments did not come off well. Again, I don't think anything was intential or ill-willed, just not at the right time.

In any event, I hope that we will be able to get know each other better, support each other, and even occasionally pick on each other when needed  . I fully encourage everyone to discuss their experiences, and we are a better group for having some "veterans" with different experiences. I hope that your second time around is a short one and wish you lots of luck as your start back your TTC journey, whenever you decide to officially start. :))

Modern - I'm happy to hear the wedding was so much fun. It's always nice when you can catch up with old friends. And not to worry about all your friends getting married off, there will always be more weddings and then baby showers, etc. I am sorry that you got your BFN, but hopefully you will be able to get a better handle on your cycle this month. Good luck!

AFM, somebody canceled their appt, so I get to go see the RE today. The bad news is that, of course, my DH had a meeting come up last minute so he won't be there, which he is supposed to be  . So, not quite thrilled about that, but I can't cancel now, so here we go. I will be somewhat relieved to finally talk to the RE and get some info and next steps. I will be sure to let you all know how it goes manana. Till then, have a good day and lots of luck for the ladies testing soon!

Re: The Official TTC Thread!

took one, BFN. If I end up being late, or if this continues over multiple cycles then I might go check in with the good ole GYN to make sure I don't have any imbalances. I've been under a lot of stress, and it could very well be related.

DC - I hope all goes well tomorrow and you get the answers and information you want/need.

DreamerD - you make very good points as always :)

back to lurkdom, for the moment.
