The Official TTC Thread!

Lysser - great stuff! I especially like the holey ring.

For me...I hate waiting for anything (I''m more of an instant gradification kinda girl

), but I would picking waiting over the fear anyday! It took my mom 7 years to have my sister and I...7 years!!! I can''t imagine anyone having to go through that...this whole experience has so many factors and unknowns involved...that it''s scary on so many levels!

LittleL: I love all of the pieces that you posted, but my favorite is that gorgeous necklace!! I''d totally buy something like that!

Ebree: My chart looks just as boring, though not quite so far along

China: I think your question is a great one - if I *knew* that I could get pregnant and the only uncertainty was *when*, I would have no problem waiting 6 months or a year. Of course, I would get frustrated it it took an entire year, but it would only be frustration and not *fear*. It''s the fear of not being able to get pregnant that I struggle with . . .
My answer is the same as Lulu. I think most women fear not being able to get pregnant while TTC. If that fear was aleviated, I''d be so much more patient!

I think all of our charts are looking pretty good...thanks for posting!

Hi Blushing - I''m not testing tomorrow...sorry.
8.gif
As much as I want to contribute to the fun, I have to stay away for my own sanity. I think you''re right about how FF calculates test dates. Since this is my first month charting they tell me to test 18 DPO! Who could have that kind of restraint? I''m glad to know I''m not the only one who gets crampy post-O. It''s a weird feeling - they''re not like AF cramps, but noticeable nonetheless. Sometimes they feel like O pain, and sometimes they feel kinda itchy, like stuff is moving around in there. Weird, no? What do yours feel like?

Hey Ebree - I wish it were easy to answer "how are you feeling?" In a lot of ways I feel similar to how I felt last cycle, post-O. Intermittent cramps, mildly sore boobs. Last cycle was the first time I''d felt any of this and thought I was pregnant. I also had dreams that I was pregnant, which didn''t help. So this time I don''t "feel" pregnant and I expect that somehow when I am, I will. What a bummer that your symptoms are also side-effects of progesterone. It makes sense, but it''s so unhelpful isn''t it? I have never been successful in finding my cervix, so I''ll leave that question to the experts!

InLuv - ooh, hopefully that''s a good sign! I think Robbie said she felt no symptoms before getting her BFP.

ChinaCat - that''s a great question. Like you, if I *knew* it would happen within the year I''d be totally relaxed about it and would try to go on as many fabulous vacations as we could afford! Like LLL said, it''s the fear of "what if I can''t" that keeps the anxiety there.

Thanks for the kind words about the jewelry. The photos are so crummy - I think the stuffs look better in real life. DH keeps promising that he''ll make me a photobox so I can actually take good pics...but who knows!

At this point, I''m not really selling it to the "public"...I sell it to friends and acquaintances. I''m thinking about setting up an etsy shop. Maybe hitting some local gallery type places...I don''t know. I know it is weird, but I get kind of sad when I do sell something. I like having it around to look at. Cause I''m a nutter.

LL- I was just gonna suggest an Etsy shop. I''m sorry you get sad when you sell something but think of all the women who will walk around wearing your beautiful pieces!

You should totally do it!

As for, ya know, the TTC stuffs.

I haven't really had any symptoms. My cervix is high and my nips are still tender, which is a bit strange...but that is about it. Also, my little black dog, Cricket, has been all over me. Sitting on me CONSTANTLY, ignoring DH (who is her favorite human being ever), and just wanting to be right where I am. Which is odd. If I end up being KTFU this cycle, I'm totally loaning her out to other people as a prego test dog.

Ebree - That is one heck of a chart!
2.gif

CC - If I knew it'd take a year, and everything would be alright, I'd be totally fine with it! Well, maybe a bit impatient...but fine. And I do agree with LLL that part of my issue is fear...particularly since the early m/c...I don't know if the next one will stick either...if that makes sense. If I knew it'd stick and be healthy, I'd be happy! Oh, and thanks for the organic comment! When I describe my style (or what I want it to be) to people I say the stuff is modern and organic...so yay!

Festy and BB I *think* that FF tells you when to test based on the length of your luteal phase. And it requires two charting cycles before it will make your test date earlier. I also think they say at least 14 DPO is as early as you should test, regardless. I think they are insane. 18DPO to test. PLEASE.

Oh, and as for finding the cervix...I totally had to google it, just to see what it looked like, so I could have some idea of what I was feeling for. Like NF I had my best luck on the toilet...and also, well, you really have to sort of just feel around. I believe Amber said it best when she said something about feeling like a puppeteer up there...Of course, there are times when your cervix may be SUPER high and darn near out of reach.

inluv - You are totally right. And although I miss the pieces, selling them allows me to buy more materials...but it still makes me a bit sad.

DD - - I agree with LL in the fact that we value your 'expert' advice and opinions...I don't know what we'd do without you!
Awww such a love fest today! I am all warm and fuzzy.

EBree your cervix isn't really at the end of your vaginal canal. Instead, it will be maybe halfway (give or take depending on where you are in your cycle) up the canal on the top wall. So if you squat on the floor and sort of bear down a little, and then take a finger or two and start with your fingers at the opening on the top wall of your vajayjay and then run them up inside, between 1 inch and 3 or 4 inches inside you will feel a bit of spongy/textured tissue on the top wall (that is where your bladder rests against the vginal canal and it is also the G spot), and then right past that is the cervix, which will be about an inch or so in diameter, and depending on where you are in your cycle, it will feel like you nose with a little dimple in the middle, or it will feel like your lips with a big dimple in the middle! Past the cervix, the vaginal canal continues for another couple inches (again depending on your cervix height) and then does a U-turn and comes back down the back wall. So you are sticking the suppository waaaay up into the pocket where the canal does the u-turn, that is probably a little above/past your cervix. That's also where tampons go, and the head of the penis when you DTD
31.gif
But the cervix isn't all the way at the end, when you are infertile it will actually be very near the opening to the vagina and the pocket at the back will be larger, and when you are fertile or aroused it will be nearer the back of the vagina and the pocket behind it will be smaller. That's why the two-finger technique for sampling CF works well... take two fingers and run them up the top wall of the vagina until you feel the cervic, then pinch/scoop the CF from there! If you reach all the way past the cervix into the pocket then you will get nothing.

DD - what do you know about creamy CM during the 2ww? I''ve had some throughout the past 10 days, but yesterday and today I''ve had more than usual. Is that normal, does it indicate AFF coming or pregnancy? I''m guessing it varies from person to person, but just curious....

Nice to know we're all in this together. I don't tell anyone IRL b/c I have learned better from reading here! Don't want the added pressure of all the questions. Also, I am kind of private, and it seems weird to me to announce to people that we are having sex without protection.
31.gif
Sorry, but anytime anyone tells me they are trying IRL, this is what I think. Now I just come here and talk about CM.
23.gif

Speaking of which, Ebree or whoever asked, I have never been able to find my cervix or find any CM by swiping. I can only tell when it is enough that I can feel it or it's on my underwear. All of which means I am going to have to start temping someday.

Lysser- I get what you mean about "letting go" of your stuff. How long does it generally take to make one piece? Do you still have your jewelry thread open? Let me know. I have tons of questions and I know this is a jewelry forum, but don't want to take over the TTC thread asking them!

Speaking of Amber and puppeterring- if you are out there Amber- Hi!!!!!
35.gif

Sorry you are sad. I miss your funny and real posts. Come back anytime.

Is it silly that I am worried I will have problems b/c 3 of my 6 BF's got preggo at the same time (after 3 months or so of trying) and I know someone will have problems, so stastically, it will probably be me? The real reason I am worried is b/c I never thought I would have problems, while all of them were super-paranoid about it. I would never admit that IRL. I am so happy for them, but I did think, Oh, s**t, when it happened relatively easy for all of them. I mean, like I told one of them when they were upset- it's not like there's only one baby to go around. I KNOW that it doesn't mean anything, but it doesn't mean my irrational mind doesn't go there in the dark of the night.

ETA: Ditto Blushing's question above. I have noticed this too, and thought it shouldn't be around during 2WW??????

Ok, I just had to share! My brother and SIL are in town and the best part of that is: my Twin Neices! Yay! They are just the most fun little girls! I love them so much and hope I can produce a kid half as cute as they are!

Well everyone has a different "Basic Infertility Pattern", which is the type of CF that you produce when you are either in the pre-or-post ovulatory infertile phases. Some people are totally dry and some people have sticky or creamy CF in this time... remember all three of those types are infertile. But I think if it is different from the norm then that is a totally different story! I had a lot of creamy CF in my LP before I got the bfp, and then it turned watery for about4-5 days around the bfp time, so increased CF can indeed be a sign of being KTFU!! As a side note, all through pregnancy most women have tonnes and tonnes of watery and very fluid creamy CF, just one of the pleasant side effects of estrogen and also a means of keeping the internal environment sterile for le bebe (since if lots of CF is pouring OUT of the cervix, it is very hard for any bad things to get IN).

Side note: lots of watery CF pre-AFF can also just be a sign that the lining of the uterus is breaking down, since the first part to breakdown is the water component not the tissue etc. So like ALL potential pg signs it can also be a sign of AFF. But I totally think that lots of creamy is a sign of high estrogen during the LP, which like the "implantation dip" is not a sign of being KTFU per se, but it instead a sign that you may be very fertile that month! So it can be correlated with being KTFU without being caused by being KTFU, if you KWIM.

I''m 10 DPO
That''s when it started for me

BB - DD and I BOTH had crazy amount of watery cm before we got our BFPs...TONS OF IT. Mine started at 9-10 DPO.

In-Luv - ADORABLE babies. Wow. such cuties.

CC - I think the thread is closed. Hmm. Maybe I''ll open another one with updates...perhaps...but my pics are so bad I''d feel bad about it...feh.

Interesting ladies....very interesting! Well, again, I''m trying to be positive, but not get too carried away just so I have some "cushioning" in case it''s just AFF playing tricks on me.

Thanks for the input!

I have bitten the bullet and started temping this cycle. I''m having a hard time sleeping through the night though. Will my temps be affected if I wake up and roll over and fall back to sleep? Sometimes I wake up anywhere from 4-6am (I''m supposed to temp at 7:30) and then fall back to sleep. Does this matter? I know you are supposed to get 3 consecutive hours of sleep so I''m a little bummed I''m not sleeping through the night. I think it is just the anticipation/anxiety of messing up my temp that is messing with me.

Another question...my last three temps have been the same (97.8). My bbt doesn''t go to the hundredth, could that be the reason why my temps are so static? I''m assuming this won''t matter when it comes to confirming ovulation since I have to have a jump of ~.4 but want to make sure that static temps are ok as well.

Thanks for your help!

Hi am04, welcome to the temping club! This is my first month temping too and FWIW, I never sleep through the night. I''ve stopped worrying about it. I even sometimes wake up an hour or two before I''m supposed to temp...this is pretty normal for me and it doesn''t seem to be affecting my temps. I would try not to worry about it. The less you worry, the more sleep you''ll get!

Hmm, I didn''t know they make BBT that don''t go to hundredths. To quote DD, ovulation can be confirmed by a change of as little as .2 degrees (see my chart, last page or two). As long as it is really a BBT and is precise, you are probably ok. Anyone else want to chime in on this?

You don''t need more than one decimal place, don''t worry about it. As for the waking up, what can you do? Just temp at the same time each day and it shouldn''t matter (don''t temp whenever you awake, the body has a natural circadian rhythm that will get messed up by early temp-taking). You''ll have a better idea after this month as to whether or not it matters and you can see how it goes at that point. Welcome to the funny farm! haha... temping is addictive.

InLuv- Soooo cute! Yummy babies! At first, I thought they were your Routon babies. Which, btw, my DH and I tried last night- freaky scary babies we may be having. What is up with the animation and eye-moving??? Creepy.

blushing- not to add fuel to the fire- but mine is NOT watery, and I think it''s normal for me to have it during this time so mine is probably just non-fertile CM. And I am almost 100% positive I am NOT preggo this go round. My spidey-sense is tingling!

Hi gals! Just wanted to pop in and say HI!! I haven''t posted in a few days, because I''ve had (have) exams yesterday, today, and tomorrow. On the upside, if I channel all of my energy into studying instead of ruminating about why I''m not pregnant yet, I will surely have great grades for this semester.
3.gif

I will post more to each of you later. For now, huge hugs to Fisher and DrK, and a good luck to all of you testing soon!! Cellular respiration flashcards beckon. . .

Festy and DD- Thanks for responding! Okay, I'm just not going to worry about it...I'm sure this will help me rest easier tonight!

ETA- Hi Peony...good luck!

You''re all too funny...thanks for giving me tons to think about tonight while DH goes out for birthday drinks! I had watery down on my chart this morning and then changed it creamy when my cross hairs went from solid to dotted (I prefer solid thank you very much!). But, I just went back and changed it to watery since I''ve had no creamy today.

Hi Peony!
35.gif
Best of luck on your exams!

blushingbride I hate guessing about symptoms, but just wanted to say that before I found out I was preggo, I had light cramps for 3-4 days which had never happened to me before. Good luck!
