The Cullinan diamond is the largest diamond ever discovered. The rough weighed 3,106 carats! It was found in 1905 and presented to King Edward VII in 1907. Joseph Asscher was tasked with cutting it. Cullinan I, a 530-carat pear, is known as the Star of Africa and is mounted in the Royal Scepter of the British Crown Jewels. The Cullinan II is a 317-carat cushion mounted in the British crown.
