Am I missing something eye roll worthy here? I''m no net nanny but it seems pretty uncalled for in someone''s excited SMTR thread.

To the OP-I can''t wait to see the finished product! And when you get the finished product and pictures definitely make a new thread!

Super quick turnaround on the setting

. Look forward to seeing completed ring pics.

We had a call about 2:00 PM EST that the ring is ready. They forgot to take pictures at the design center and delivered to the dealer (next door) this PM. The stone went to the design center the day after we bought it.

So, no pictures right now.

The ring is being mailed tomorrow and should have the beginning of next week. All paperwork and certificates are being Fed Ex''ed. So, pictures will be next week. Hopefully, they will come out better than the last one''s that I took......

Amazing turnaround. I can''t wait to see the final product! I think you and your wife chose a really classic look, and it''s going to be phenominal.

I should also mention, that we saved somewhere in the vicinity of $6K - $9K in NYC taxes by having the ring shipped to NJ. We have saved the NJ tax prior on large purchases by giving our FL address for shipping.

This is something everyone on the forum should consider when purchasing something expensive, if you have another address or relative or friend, have the item shipped to them and save the tax.

First, I wouldn''t recommend this. The state in which I am in has use tax, so no matter what taxes must be paid. Second, (again most likely varies state by state) small business oweners'' personal and business transactions/taxes are watched like a hawk by the state government. There''s no way something with that large of value could be shipped without a huge paper trail behind it.

Okay.....

I hope she''s doing finger exercises to hold that baby up!

It is going to be so beautiful and classic in the new setting. Congrats to you and your wife

So excited to see this beauty...

Hope to have Mon. Tues or Wed.

Wife is too excited. Says she can''t wait. Dealer took a picture of the ring with her blackberry but it is so blurred you can hardly tell it''s a ring. My wife constantly looks at the blurred picture.................

Firstly, I''m *dying* to see the finished product. It looks like it''s gonna be amazing! Beautiful center stone for sure.

And yeah- if your state of residence has sales tax (and NY does of course) you do actually have to pay it. Yes, it''s kind of on the "honor" system, but you still are legally required to pay it. If something is shipped between states, you have to pay the state you reside in the sales tax rather than paying it at the point of sale. Just for everyone''s info in the future...

Just an update:

The ring is not here yet.

I must get emailed every 10 minutes from my wife asking if it has arrived.

When it arrives, I will post in this thread and then start a new thread with a link to this one.

I keeping wishing and praying for it to come today.........just so I do not contantly keep hearing "is it here, yet"?

Sooo exciting! We are all waiting for those piccies!!!!

OK....it was just delivered.

My wife insisted I open the package and take a couple blackberry pictures for her.

I will post and hopefully get some other pictures with my P&S at home this PM.

Forgive the photo''s.

She is a lucky, lucky lady and you are a very generous husband.

Side Note - Ring deserves its own thread with LOTS of pics.

Congrats to you and your wife. Your ring came out beautiful! But I am partial because we are now identical ring twins. You were very lucky to find what you were looking for in that size range in such a short time frame...

Wear it in good health!!!

Murphy on the left is a light golden retriever and Bubba on the right is a white English golden retriever. Bubba went to the bridge on 12/22/2009..........
