I KNOW! I am totally astounded, too! For these last 2 photos I TAPED the loupe to the front of the camera with masking tape!!!

Hey -- I'm nothing if not tenacious!!!

Those photos were taken today, outside. RIGHT BEFORE I DROPPED MY W-RING THROUGH THE ONE OF THE SLATS OF OUR DECK!!!

I am not kidding you. The ring fell through to the ground - a total "black hole" that we could not physically get to without tearing up the whole deck!

Thank goodness, DH "fished" it out with a bent wire. But he laughed his head off the whole time!

Lynn.. Your set is beautiful !!! I am struggling with your initial problem. I currently have a 2.05 RB on a wide band. I would really like to upgrade to a 3ct... but with 2 kids in college and 3 years to go with tuition. I think I will go with a new mounting instead of the upgrade. Hey, everyone, thanks for looking! I appreciate all your kind words, and being able to continue to share this with you guys. Because lord knows no one in my "real life" quite seems to "get it"!

Mara, yes, I saw "your new asscher"!

Hey, I'm tellin' ya' -- I give ya' 5 years, girlfriend... and you'll be sportin' not only a 3+ ct RB but a glorious, honkin' asscher, too!

Abbott, you might be right about your ring. With my old ring, I had just developed a weird kind of a vague "discontent" with it... and I was thinking about upgrading my diamond... but I wasn't sure... Finally I decided on a re-set, because I became more and more aware that it was the setting that I just wasn't thrilled with anymore. (I only had it for 10 months, too... and it wasn't cheap

... but I just had to change it!) As soon as I saw my center stone in the new WF setting, I fell in love! It was exactly what I was looking for. I am so happy and so PROUD of my rings now! The new setting really showcases my center stone, makes it "pop". The other (wide) setting just did not do that. It really didn't flatter my diamond. And my center stone is so beautiful, it really deserved a "home" that would show it off properly. I'm sorry that I wasted the money on the initial setting, but if I had it to do again (the re-set) I wouldn't change a thing. And oh, I LOVE that feeling!
