it was actually surprisingly hard to find halos with plain shanks when we started looking for rings, which is why we ended up going custom... i just love it - keeps it simple but a little fancy at the same time! i sort of think its a halo with the heart of a solitaire, the way the diamond pops off the band!
laila619 - I'm sure yours will be just beautiful! can't wait for you to show it off!
thanks again to everyone, so kind and much appreciated!
asscherhalo_lover - we haven't really looked at bands yet and I was playing around with the idea of getting something very different and kind of antiquey that didn't match the engagement ring at all to maintain the look of 2 rings... but i also just LOVE a traditional plain thin wedding band and one that slides right up against the engagement ring band would really keep the haloed diamond the focus... not sure which way to go, but it'll definitely be fun looking!!
ML2, I LOVE your ring! I have a question if you don't mind. I am getting a plain shank halo and that's how I ended up seeing this. I chose a setting from James Allen that is similar (though not as beautiful) as yours. I know you got your stone from JA, why didnt you go with this setting, did you see a specific problem with it?
Beautiful! Stunning! I'm so happy for you!
Of course, I might be a little biased as mine is the same style of setting, pave halo with a plain shank. For my wedding ring, I went with a channel set 3/4 eternity band that sits under the halo. And I'm very happy with it. I love how the diamond wedding band contrasts with the plain shank of my ering.
