Oh very nice! I keep thinking I really need to consolidate my lot, but then....I don't.

I have a shot like this, on a black cloth too. Great minds eh? ;))

Thanks for sharing!

Share your shot then, Rosetta!

This is actually my collection AFTER I shaved it down a bit. I can say that I love and wear most of it.

I dont have the good photos ith me (good being a relative term...) but I found one on my phone, which is a partial shot of my collection. I couldn't get it all in one shot anyway. i'm posting this one just because you asked!

I must confess, I don't wear a lot of it, it lives at the bank. I'm a bad bad PSer! :nono:

Nice shot of your collection Rosetta! We need to see more. It must be very valuable if it lives at the bank. I love the look of the pink/red set, with the necklace and chandelier earrings. Can you tell us about those?

And also, there appears a very nice solitaire necklace beneath the (I'm guessing) ruby set. What's the story there? :naughty:

Thanks for the kind comments, everyone! The jewellery isn't really shown off to its best advantage in these shots, since I had to pile it all really clsoe to get it into the frame, and then my camera didn't take good shots. It looks a bit of a jumble sale. They all look much better individually!

Aw I'm sorry that pic is all I have. What can i tell you about the pic? The chandelier set is my ruby and diamond set and the solitaire underneath is my 0.8 carat GVS2 old cut diamond, bezel set by Brian Gavin. I wear it every day! My diamond bangles are in the front and the boxes contain my unset stones. The two fat bangles have rose cut diamonds in them. It all mostly lives in the bank unless I'm dressing up for a party (except for my diamond studs, solitaire and my 3 stone from my avatar). I do have a large number of carats in diamonds and coloured stones, but almost all are under 1 carat each. My largest is the 2.5 carat in my 3 stone. I have a lot of gold, which is now worth much more than when I bought it.

I'm asian, we women usually have a large jewellery haul. My mother has ten times more than me  but no diamonds, she's a coloured stone gal.

But forget me, tell us more about your collection!

Hmm, there's not much to tell, really, at least not here. Many of the pieces have stories but they've already been posted, mostly under my former screen name of Smith1940. For example, the gold house brooch was a gift from an elderly Parisienne (family friend, still alive) who used to model for Balenciaga and Chanel, in the Paris of 60-70 years ago. The 24k gold ring is from when I used to work for the Government of Dubai, and the 22k gold filigree earrings are from Bahrain that I bought during the same period. The blue enamel egg with the ribbons of zircons is from St. Petersburg, Russia and the intricacy of the hallmark has to be 30x louped to be believed. It's all posted in SMTB.

Lucky you, having such amazing jewellery! You should wear it, instead of locking it away. Wear it out for dinner! LOVE your ruby parure. And I can only imagine what your mother's collection is like. *faints*
