My entire purple and pink herd of My Little Ponies insisted they were real when I was growing up! Them and my Rainbow Bright.

I was listening to This American Life or similar a while back and the gal presenting some story mentioned that she had a friend who- AS AN ADULT- said she wished unicorns weren't extinct. Literally thought they were real. I was riding my bike at the time and almost crashed when I heard that.

Apparently I'm the only one who would be terrified if unicorns were real. Can you imagine a world where an 800lb (I don't know, I've always thought they were a bit smaller than an average horse...) animal has a foot long horn and can run a whole lot faster than you?? And, obviously they'd have special freakin' powers too. Some sort of voodoo magic! Like they can read your thoughts, or track you down, or freakin fly or something! If I did drugs, this would be my scary hallucination!

That's it. Unicorns are decidedly not equine in nature. No horse poops when it runs, or jumps. If they do, they are magical. The bovine theory in Unicorn lore MUST be true.
