Ok, so I don''t want to jinx myself or the situation, but I figured it also couldn''t hurt to ask, right?? (Sorry this post is so long!!)
This weekend is our 2 year anniversary and he is taking me on a little surprise overnight vacation. We are leaving Saturday morning and coming back sometime Sunday afternoon. He won''t tell me any details except that our destination is within 2-3 hours driving range. I''ve been trying not to get my hopes up about it happening this weekend but obviously thats nearly impossible to do! PLUS there are a few things that have made me slightly fishy about the situation...
First off, my mom and dad are supposed to watch my dog while we are away that weekend. However, a couple days ago, she told me that I would need to find somewhere else for him to stay on Saturday night. She had some excuse for why they would be gone all day and into the night, and they did not want to leave him home alone that long. Now, BF knows that I want to have some close family around when he pops the question so that some one can take pictures and capture the moment and all that good stuff. So my mom telling me that I needed to find somewhere else for the dog seems to fit in with the plan if they were needing to come to where ever we were that weekend.
Secondly, my parents never bring up engagement/marriage. Not that they don''t like BF (they love him) or don''t want us to get married, it just never really gets discussed for whatever reason. However, when I told my mom that I didn''t know where we were going this weekend and that it was a surprise, she playfully rubbed it in my face that she knew where we were going!
Then somewhat randomly she said "So you could come back from this weekend engaged, huh?!" ...........
(Hmm, interesting comment mom.....!) But then she said something like "does he know he needs to ask dad?" So that statement makes me think that he hasn''t asked, so its not going to happen. But they could just be trying to throw me off, so I don''t know!
Ugh, so much to think about when I''m trying not to over think!! I guess what I''m really getting at is.....Can I have some DUST for this weekend please????
