That is easily the biggest Sea of Cortez pearl that I have seen. If I may, here are a couple of photos so others can see that both sides are beautiful. It is laying in the palm of 4Ranch Girl's hand, and you can see how much bigger this pearl is than the usual 9-10 mm Sea of Cortez pearls.

4RG was one lucky ducky to snag that SoC baroque beauty! (Based on the reactions, I think Douglas now knows he should bring more baroques to the next ruckus.) It is really stunning in person. I look forward to seeing what ideas Hisano comes up with for setting it.

4RG, your collection is stunning! Back on page 1 in 2010, you mentioned the gold body exotic FW, and the silver pink freshwater strands. My questions is are they Freshadamas Metallics or they Metallic AAA's. I'm in love !!!!!!!!

Thank you FrostMe. Back when I bought my metallics they were not graded like that. If my memories serves metallics were just coming to the market. PP had only sold metallic strands one time previous to this batch and they might have only been multi colored metallics. I have been told the metallic pearls would be added into the strands just one here and there. It was only after this time Jeremy asked them to only put metallic pearls in strands they started to do it for him. Metallic pearls often times have a green overtone which to the Chinese is not good but it is what makes them so special to us. I have really never thought to check to see how round they are which is the difference between Freshadama metallic and AAA metallic. Hope this answers your question.

Hi Cyndayco it is against this forums policys to post other blog links but if you go to the Pearl Paradise blog you can read my pearl story there under pearl friends I was the first interview. Or you can put my first or last name in their search box. If you read Nacre Lovers story there you will see how I began selecting pearls for my friends because it all started because of her wanting pictures faster than we were sending them.
