The idea was a good one, the execution... meh. But there were enough okay pics that I decided to post them anyway. HAPPY NEW YEAR!
Neatfreak and I have been meaning to do a joint photo shoot of our bling but when the lighting conditions are ideal we're usually otherwise occupied and without a good camera around. So even though it was pitch-dark night and there was no equipment other than a camera and we had dogs and cats running about, sick twins, sticky pie, plumbing code research to be done, and a half-finished kitchen remodel around us we decided to take a few shots anyway.
One of these days we'll turn the bling and camera's over to our perfectionist husbands (who were talking about light boxes and 'real macro lenses' and indirect versus direct lighting) and have the ideal pics we'd like to post. But since life keeps interfering, hopefully you guys can enjoy these in the interim.
Here are our (blurry) diamond rings and my BGD pendant (NF has two lovely diamond solitaire pendants but somehow they didn't make it into the ultrasonic).
From the bottom up.
Gypsy's Aurora band by BGD.
Neatfreak's 5 stone trellis, setting by BGD, with transitional cuts of approximately .25 to .30 points each.
Gypsy's half eternity Scott Kay wedding band, from Pearlmans, carat weight lost in the depths of her swiss cheese memory.
Neatfreak's three sided pave wedding band by Facets that Neatfreak will have to spec out for you all.
Gypsy's asscher engagement ring, setting by Ocean Pearlman through Wink Jones of High Performance Diamonds, in a plain shank platinum halo setting.
Neatfreaks's cushion engagement ring, stone sourced by ERD and platinum bezel setting by ERD as well.
