Oh. I forgot to say. THANK YOU for not filtering all the skin texture out of your photos. I can’t begin to express how ridiculous and irritating I find that practice. All hands are beautiful, no real-world or digital editing needed!!
I’m basically see-through, so it would get real uncanny valley real fast if I tried to blur everything out, haha. There’s a jeweler I follow on IG who goes nuts with the filters — never fails to give me the heebie-jeebies when I scroll past one of their RealDoll TM hands.Oh. I forgot to say. I have NO idea how you guys all take such a beautiful jewelry pics — even the guides posted here on PS can’t save me. I’ll make another attempt this week, but for now, a couple (sad) side shots for @kah42 and @Rfisher. Sorry for the shaggy cuticles -- nail tech did me dirty on the biggest nail day of my life, oy vey!
P.S.
Do you guys like...shave your knuckles? For these photoshoots, I mean. Never realized I had hairy knuckles until I started taking these close up pics
Look at the mirror-like shine on that metal! I’ve never seen it to that extent on a cad piece - does it come from hand working the metal during manufacture in addition to polishing after?I have NO idea how you guys all take such a beautiful jewelry pics — even the guides posted here on PS can’t save me. Sorry to derail but…people do that? Woah!
I guess I’ve never noticed? Maybe the the new “portrait” setting on iPhones does it for you, I wonder…
I’ve been waiting until I have a good chunk of free time to (satisfactorily) reply to everyone. But until that time comes, I’ll just say this:
@LLJsmom - not crazy at all! I too think the side view makes the whole thing. Thankfully, that’s the angle I see it from most frequently . Not to brown-nose too much, but compliments are all the more flattering when they come from someone with great taste like you — I have yet to recover from your white gold Ecrou!
Luckily for us ballet peeps that toe rings are not a thing! Enjoy World Ballet Day!Probably the ballet dancer in me — we are known for our (pathological?) fondness for prominent veins and sinew.
Hi Mary,
I stumbled onto this thread while looking for recent experiences with Leon. He made my original engagement ring and I’m currently waiting for him to complete my upgrade…. Our purchase order has nothing on it…so Leon is off doing his thing….
Your ring is an absolute dream. I love the design and it compliments your beautiful hands (and manicure perfectly!)
