Thoughts on this 1.51 round please...

First time buyer and this diamond is for sale locally...

2003 Gia cert...
1.51 ct. Round
7.35 x 7.42 x 4.37
Color - H
Clarity - VS2
Depth - 59.2%
Table - 59%
Girdle - Medium to Very Thick..Polished
Cutlet - Slightly Large
Polish - Good
Symmetry - Very Good
Fluorescence - Medium Blue
 
do you have more information (GIA report number?)
 
No point. 2003 grading report would not have the angles available.

From the numbers available, I would guess it would have a shallow crown, maybe even shallow pavilion, as even with a very thick girdle it still has the diameter for the weight class.
 
For my personal standards it is not promising. I would not want to buy a stone with such an old cert, for one, because it does not have all the detailed information I want and what it does have is not to my liking (not wild about the depth/table combo, not wild about Good polish or very thick girdle) and also because it makes me wonder why the stone has been floating around unsold for so long. I would ask to have it recerted before moving ahead, if you are still interested. That is a pricey diamond per the specs and so a recert is not out of the question in terms of cost.

the very thick girdle kept this stone above 1.5 ct,so i'd past on this stone.
