Hello everyone, I have just joined pricescope because I have been trying to find a picture of the Tiffany Schlumberger Engagement Ring that is inspired by a flower bud. I just love this ring, and my fiance and me have been looking at it for like forever online, but Tiffany would only order it for us if we are sure to buy it. So I was wondering if anyone had this ring and could show me some picutres of it on your hand. It is such a beautiful ring, but I just can''t imagine it, proportion- wise.

Many thanks,
Anne

Hi Anne,

I agree it is beautiful. Can't Tiffany ship one from another store for you to look at? I can't believe they would expect you to be sure about such a large purchase without even seeing one and trying it first.

What a beautiful ring!

OO that''s pretty!!!!!!!!

This is a really beautiful ring - timeless and yet very Tiffany, I love it! I would like to think that they would get one in for you to look at, it is such a unique design that they cannot surely expect you to make a decision without seeing it?!

Good luck!!

Hello, yes that is the ring, thank you. I have actually seen that post somewhere but couldn''t find it anymore. I was hoping that more people would have this ring and show me, cos its such a hard decision. It is very expensive, and I have seen that Michael Barin has a similar one and was wondering whether anyone knows the price or has seen it in the store ? I am living in London, and Michael Barin only sells his jewellery in USA.
What do you guys think about Michael Barin ? Is his jewllery, especially his engagement rings, very popular in America ? I really like every single ring of his collections on the internet, but there are no prices. Are his rings pricy ?
Many thanks
Anne

I love this ring''s design -
Buy WHY does Tiffany have to make it so hard on people to buy their rings? From what i have read, the customer service is poor... This kind of attitude and expectation from potential buyers is somewhat asinine. It actually irks me!

yes, the customer service is very poor, I have to agree on that. I am not a big fan of Tiffany or any of the jewellery, because my jewellery taste is different, but I just LOVE that particular ring. But when simply asking for it or information on it the shop assistance scans you from top to toe as if she wants to check whether u have the money to buy it at the end anyway. I was just really annoyed, because I simply hate that. Anyway, they were quite unfriendly, and I dun care if my ring is from tiffany, or whoever, I care about the design. and michael barin has a very similar ring, so I might go with him ;)

Anne-I am so sorry that Tiffany was rude to you! Which store was it? The one I go to a lot in South Coast Plaza has been exceptionally kind (and I know the manager fairly well). You should never shop where you are not treated with 100% respect...when we were looking at a few pieces our store was happy to bring them in for us to look out (and we didn''t end out getting either of them). However, if that store doesn''t do the same for you, don''t go there (but possible notify the manager!).

As for Michael Barin, I really love the jewelry he makes. A friend has a fantastic ring from there---so you won''t be disappointed---the only reason I would personally pick the Tiffany is because of that design...and the history behind that designer there.

hey ! thanks for your support ;) it was a store here in London, in London everyone is very unfriendly. The thing that makes me angry the most, is that WE actually SHOP there, these studpid cows just WORK there, do u understand what I mean... anyway, I think I will go with Michael Barin if I can find someone who can show me pics n prices. For the price of the other ring at Tiffanys its only a colour G, so not very impressed anyway. but thanks.

I understand what you mean about being a shopper vs. a sales associate, and that attitude is so stupid on their part.

I agree with the previous poster that it would be nice to have the real thing from the real designer's mold, as it were; however, you should not have to be treated that way in order to spend substantial $$$ with their store!

Have you considered contacting someone at Tiffany's headquarters and letting them know of your interest in the ring and your reluctance to work with your local Tiffany's because of the way you've been treated?

Sometimes that's all it takes to get better service! And in my experience, stores want to know about incidents like this because unless customers tell them, they have no way of knowing that one of their stores has a staff that's "gone rogue"!

Is this the Michale Barin ring you were thinking of? There are no prices listed on the website but I can''t imagine it being that much more of a markup than Tiffany''s. Also, I remember hearing somehwere that you can bring your own stone to Michael Barin? Anyone able to verify that? If that is the case, you could probably get a great ring with a bigger diamond for the same price as the Tiffany''s. I love that ring by the way! And Michael Barin!

Michael Barin is very expensive...but I am not sure if they are significantly more expensive than Tiffany''s or not...worth calling/emailing them.

aawww I like that ring, its pretty. I like most of his rings, really. The problem is that they are not answering my emails, so I guess I need to call them after all. THanks for your advice, guys. I am still hoping to see a few more pictures of the Tiffany schlumberger ring though... :)

Wow, I haven''t seen that setting before. I can see why you would be interested in it - it''s modern and antique looking all at once.
