ditto Lisa on the Stila colors - they really are the best I''ve found, especially for those with fair skin.

scarleta - I''m sorry you weren''t able to find something you are completely happy with. I''ll keep my fingers crossed that it works out better, or if not, that you will have an easier time on your next expedition finding something you are happier with.

Thanks Amber G: I think I am getting used to having a "tanned look" with this moisturizer.

I use Marcelle''s tinted moisturizer, it''s fantastic. It evens out my skin tone and provides SPF! I love it!

HI:

Per recommendations here, I got a sample of the Laura Mercer and it is really good; I will buy it! Great coverage and no greasy afterlook!

cheers--Sharon

Hehe Ms Lynn - I feel like maybe not only are Ollie and Boo secretly related but perhaps we are too

I am also freakishly pale, and LOVE Paula's Choice - I use her recommendations for almost everything, and almost all of my skin care stuff comes from her.

One other brand I'd recommend trying is Stila - I find a lot of Paula's cheek and lip colors look too dark or strange on me, but Stila consistently makes fantastic colors for our very pale skin tone, and their foundations are TDF - the illuminating powder foundation is my all-time favorite, its absolutely incredible - makes your face look flawless and glowy all at the same time, and it works over or under other products beautifully

Haha, AG, just now saw this post! You and me and Boo and Ollie, all long lost cousins!!!

I love it!

Well, I am VERY intrigued by your recommendation of the STILA products. Never used any Stila stuff before. So, what color foundation do you wear? I am careful to keep my foundations very light and NEUTRAL, with no pink or peach undertones. Are the Stila colors completely neutral like Paula's foundations are?

Also, have you tried Paula's sheerly-tinted moisturizer that I mentioned above? Methinks you might love it!

Stila - they have the best range of colors. SPF 15 I think.

I second this. I use their illuminating moisturizer and it''s got a really nice finish. I''ve also used the other types they have and been more than happy with them.

Lynn, I consider Stila to have pretty neutral shades.

Hey Lynn - I''ve been meaning to try the Paula''s Choice TM for a while, just haven''t gotten around to it (plus I love my Stila so much its hard to break away).

Paula actually loves how neutral Stila''s foundation colors are - I always get the lightest color, personally, and that works beautifully for me. I think Paula actually said in one of her books, something to the effect of, "for anyone in any doubt about what I mean about neutral foundation colors, check out Stila," so yes, I think they have the stamp of approval

I do like the idea of long-lots cousins all of us - the extremely-fair-skinned-sealpoint-raggie club. Has a nice ring, don''t you think?

Laura Mercier!!! The oil free one is fantastic.
I second this.
Agreed! Which reminds me, I am just about out and have to pick up a new one soon... usually I avoid Sephora due to extreme lack of willpower, but maybe I''ll make a trip there tomorrow.

It''s called CG smoothers and it rivals the pricer brands.
