We put a whole open newspaper on the floor and put Bibi's little berry dish right in the middle.
But still, his favorite place to wipe blackberry juice off his beak is a shoulder, hopefully wearing a white shirt, an expensive one.
Also, he takes a bite of apple, squeezes the juice out, then flings the pulp onto the wall.
But of course you can't get too mad at him.
It's sorta endearing, like watching your baby making a mess when learning how to eat.
Earning the trust of one of these little feathered fear-units is a major milestone - but then upgrading it to love and dedicated companionship? ... OMG, there's nothing like it.
Dogs are relative easy, being bred and domesticated for a zillions years to be dedicated and loyal to a human ... but birds?
These wild creatures take a lot of work, learning, and patience.
So true Kenny. Parrots posses a certain intelligence beyond what humans can grasp. They sense things we can not. They’re very possessive.
