And when I’m alone in the house I put the alarm on because better safe than sorry. In today’s world we should all lock the doors and make sure you know who’s ringing your bell before opening the door to them

I bet someone will figure out how to record the voice of your DH, and design an AI tool to get "him" to say anything.

Then a bad guy can stand outside your door and play a recording of your DH's voice "saying", "Honey I lost my keys".

I don't open the door to anyone I do not know. Delivery men leave the packages outside. Though at this point I know the UPS and Fed Ex delivery people by face and name.

I feel very safe here. And just alarm the house out of an abundance of caution. I am a risk averse individual. Ask anyone who knows me lol. Maybe over the top but my motto here is "Better safe than sorry"

We also have the ability to protect ourselves with firearms should we need to...I know it is not popular on PS but we are 100% ready to use them should we need to. We took classes and are prepared. I don't anticipate needing to and hopefully never will need to. I am a person of peace. But I am also not going down without a fight.
