To halo or not to halo this Asscher?

I absolutely love it like this. Your band is pretty, but this lets those steps sing and your stone is large enough to be standalone. Sometimes, just sometimes, the no-expense-needed option is the best :saint:=)2

Thank you!!!! I feel the same way. And I think that what I really like are the elusive elongated Asschers/antique emeralds…I just didn’t know it at the time I was looking for a new ring. The more you know, right? ;) Thanks again!!!

Thank you! Here’s a pic of the side stones. 6F72E29C-134D-4632-9E99-7C6F091F9B23.png

Ooooh! That is so beautiful! I'm so glad you gave this side view because it is breathtaking! I agree that the band detracts from the main attraction! Say no to halo, wear it alone, and don't look back! It's amazing!

How long have you had your current setting?

I figured I would give you a before and after image of my mom's ring for comparison.

If you do decide to reset, you can always keep your current setting just in case.

Full disclosure, I am a fan of Pippa's ring and I love Deco inspired halos

Oh, gosh…thank you!!!!! I really do think the setting is beautiful, just wasn’t sure it was right for my hand. I’m famous for second guessing myself. I think I love all kinds of rings in all kinds of settings, so I’m either my own worst enemy or my own best friend. Hahaha! ;)

Wow! I would wear both! I think that’s my problem…I like so many different things it difficult to settle on one!!! I do like the idea of keeping my original setting just in case. The baby Asschers are so dang cute, I hate to let them go.

I think it's more the question is your hand right for it, and the answer is yes! Any hand in the world would be right for a ring that gorgeous. The ring looks amazing on you! No worries!

I’ve had my current ring about a year and a half. It’s a big change from my original ring…which is what I wanted—for variety—but I think I’m still getting used to it.

I really needed to hear that! Thank youuuuuuu.

I love your ring as is. You can’t go wrong either way.

Gonna throw this out there...

What about putting your center stone in a solitaire then using your side stones to do a separate wrap-around ring for when you
want added bling? David Klass does very good wrap-around rings that basically make it look like it is all one ring.

I personally don't think you should change anything at this point. Just too soon.

My opinion may not be your opinion but I LOVE it as is!
You have amazing finger coverage wall to wall.
I like it alone without the band. It has plenty of presence by itself. You have to love it though, do what makes you happy.

I wanted to thank everyone again for your suggestions, ideas, and insight! I really appreciate all the thoughtful comments and sweet compliments. I have been wearing my ring without the wedding band, and I am falling in love with it all over again. I still dream about finding an elongated Asscher someday, but I suppose that gives me something to do in my spare time since I won’t be obsessing over the whole halo/no halo thing anymore. Happy Thanksgiving!
