I have 1/2 ct diamond solitaire. I'm considering a halo setting to make the appearance of the ring larger. Any suggestions would be appreciated! Opinions on halo settings & great ways to enhance the center stone & make the ring really POP:)

I think a halo is a great way to add to hand presence and finger coverage! - I recently reset my oec in a halo and am very happy with it. Here are a few really pretty examples of smaller haloed stones.

I think halos are a good way to add finger coverage. My favorite are the tacori halos: http://www.since1910.com/tacori-2620rdp-halo-engagement-ring-with-pave-set-diamonds or http://www.since1910.com/snt302-petite-diamond-halo-engagement-ring

Some halos will make your ring look more formal - not necessarily a good, every-day, t-shirt and jeans look.

Other looks you might want to look at would be a muti-stone setting or a setting that tapers towards the stone https://www.pricescope.com/blog/top-3-engagement-rings-styles-whiteflash.

Beverley k halos are my favorite because they are so delicate looking but well made, yet affordable. Love gypsy's links!
