What do YOU wear to the beach/pool? and why?

1) string bikini (triangle tops)
2) 2 piece with slightly more coverage (bandeaus, halter styles, underwire styles included here)
3) tankinis
4) one piece swimsuit
5) Mix and match two piece (with skirt, sarong, short type bottom half)
6) t-shirt and shorts
7) speedos
8) regular length swim shorts
9) long board/surf shorts
10) Nada, I go to a nude beach.

I''d have to say #2 for myself because after 2 kids, I would dare to go with #1 or #10. No one would want to see me in those.

#2 for me and sometimes a tankini, depending on my mood.

One piece or tankini (which is just a one piece with bathroom priveledges.)

Why? Because of my body.

#1 - String Bikini

I like to expose as much skin as possible to the sun. I''m pale in the winter but can tan nicely, so I want to tan as much of my body as possible. I know it''s bad for my skin

I really liked tankinis when those came out, and almost bought one several times. But when it came down to it, I just couldn''t accept having a non-tanned stomach.

#2 for me...no way can I wear a string bikini...I have tried a few times since the styles are usually the cutest, but my top half is just a bit large to fit in those triangles comfortably with no support.

So I wear a halter most of the time which helps with support but doesn''t require an underwire, hate those things! For a coverup, I have one of the Juicy terry dress/coverups and also a few of their short terry mini-skirts perfect for the beach. And of course, flip flops! No heels to the pool for me.

I hope no one answers #7!!! speedos should be outlawed on ANY body type.
40.gif
Greg wears surf shorts, but not the super long ones..more around the top of the knee.

I loathe speedos, don''t they call them banana hammicks?? Spelled that wrong I''m sure.

The past couple years its been #3, but last summer i forgot my bathing suit when going to the beach with FIs family (how DUMB can you be right!?!?) and had to buy a new suit. I ended up with a halter top, which actually helped balance out the big butt. I hope to stick with #2''s and feel a little better about myself in them this year! All of FIs family is so tiny and petite... im probably a good 6 inches taller and 50 pounds heavier!

I am in for #4. I like the clean lines of the one piece and although I probably still have the body for something sexier, I was so traumatized by how horrific so many women look in their swimsuits at a pool in my parents hometown, I made a pre-emptive move to the one piece at 22. Plus, I'm a fair-skinned redhead, so the less skin I show, the better. I'll just burn anyway.

#1- Bikini top w/ side tying bikini bottom

I am short, so the less I cover, the taller I appear.

too bad it gets so hot or I''d wear one of these Muu Muus:

I was so hoping for pictures!

and running out of range as fast as possible!!!!

I have no problem with #1 . . . my top half is nearly non-existent, so the lack of support is nooooo problem for me. I have plenty of #2s as well, but I spent a great deal of time in Nice when I lived in London, so I tend to go a bit "Euro" when it''s acceptable (which it hasn''t been since the last time I was in Europe). We''re heading to Jamaica soon, so I expect to be getting plenty of sun while I''m there . . . and showing off as much as I can before I retreat to this humid wasteland called Texas.

#4 ... what can I say, guess I am a prude.

#3 I really like the tankini look, I guess I''m a prude too Cflutist! The most daring I would get might be #2 (if there is enough coverage!
12.gif
). Never been too crazy about the string bikini look, and one pieces do not fit very well if you have a long waist (wedgie

)!

Mine depends on who I''m with...
If I''m on vacation with family I tend to stick to a tankini or one piece.
If I''m with my friends or boyfriend I go with either a #1 or #2. Typically I find the halter top to be very flattering on my body.

It depends for me....

If I''m laying around tanning and don''t plan on being very active, then #1.

If I''m at the beach (where I might swim or surf in the ocean), out on a boat (where I might ski), then #2.

If I''m competing (triathlon) it''s a Speedo. I wouldn''t be caught dead just lounging around in one of those, but for competition I wouldn''t wear anything else. You know they stay exactly where you put them, and I would sure hate to run across the beach, jump on my bike, and get three miles down the road just to find out that something has shifted or worse disappeared!

I''m very uncomfortable in 1-piece suits. I have a long waist, so none of them seem to fit me right.

1 or 2. Heck, I''m only 27 and have plenty of time for all-out coverage
13.gif

I have tried to find a one-piece that fits me but the smallest sizes are too short in the body.

One piece tank suit for me. Too big on the top for a bikini
2.gif
. I have found, if you look, you can find some verrrrry sexy one piece suits.

ROTFL Sevens! Yu know I was SO going to post one of those.

Jaysonsmom forgot my choice....#11....A Hefty Bag

for me, none of teh above.
9.gif
now what''s #11?

#4 under #6 with #4 only being revealed when I actually go in the water. Why? Baby''s got back! One-pieces offer the most coverage, but no matter what suit I buy, my bottom hangs out and I feel like an exhibitionist if it''s not covered.

1,2,3,4, & 5
2.gif
i like to have options
1.gif

#2 for me...I have a decent figure, but not enough so for #1 and definitely not so for #10!!!

You know Dancing Fire, the cinch sac LOL

My beach pref. is #97...which is every form of clothing on at the same time LOL

No 4 when using the swimming pool and No 2 when at the beach.

Having said that, I''ve only used a bikini twice. Its pretty tough wearing one in my country as it will just attract unwanted stares. I just have to wait for my next beach holiday somewhere else...been bugging my hubby to take me to Seychelles....

Tankinis for me. As for not getting any sun on your stomach I just roll it under. The one I have doesn''t bunch up and look rolled under so it works out great for me.

LOL Dancng Fire. Yes, don''t mess with this wuss...I mean bully LOL
Actually, I''m home sick so I''m out of it today especially!

Jeans and a tshirt.

I haven''t owned a swimsuit in 18 years. I dont swim partly because Im not a fan of being wet and getting cold standing outside. I also dont want a big red cloud of dye around me in a pool ;)

I am trying to find a nice suit that sucks me in for me, so I can sit on the beach for a little while in Hawaii.
